  1. The download is working fine. Just click the big blue button in the first post!
  2. It only happens if you have an active selection. I have to agree with you there.
  3. If you have my plugin pack installed, you can play with: Effects > Artistic > Oil Painting+ and Effects > Artistic > Pastel But, honestly, there isn't currently a plugin that will give you what you want.
  4. They are organized in alphabetical order. So, if you've installed my shapes you'll see that's how I keep similar shapes together in the list.
  5. Nope. Maybe one day, so that's why I keep mine separated into directories. Nope. Rick once told me that: Groups with guitars are on the way out I think there is a world market for maybe five computers 640K ought to be enough for anyone. However many shapes fit on the screen should be enough for anyone.
  6. Try this tutorial: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/20764-pictures-side-by-side-before-and-after-images/
  7. Sounds like there is something in your Effects folder that is causing a problem. Can you give us a screenshot of your Effects folder (including the window frame, address bar, etc.)? Maybe someone in here can spot the problem file.
  8. Yes, you need to resolve that problem first. We can't help you with that. You need to find a Windows support forum for that.
  9. Sounds like it is being blocked by your virus protection software.
  10. I imagine it is done in a video editor using a green screen.
  11. When you say the installer doesn't work on your system... please describe in detail any error messages you get or what is special about your system why the installer is not working for you.
  12. You need to upgrade to Windows 8.1 in order to use Paint.NET. It is a free upgrade. Just do it.
  13. I seem to recall seeing that cheetah picture before.* Be sure you have permission from the original creator of the image for whatever use you have in mind. *somewhere on the net... or, maybe it was just a similar picture. EDIT: Here it is: http://www.lyhyxx.com/download/3911381.html
  14. Nothing is going to work in every situation. But, you could try this: 1) Adjustments > Hue / Saturation: push saturation slider all the way to the right 2) This plugin: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/16962-segment-image-11/
  15. No plugins needed. 1) Adjustments > Hue / Saturation: Push saturation slider all the way to the right 2) Adjustments > Posterize: Push the linked sliders all the way to the left That'll get you close.
  16. On canvas size changes, all layers, except the background layer, are filled with transparent. The background layer is filled with the secondary color.
  17. This actually working as designed (as described by EER, above). The reason for this is simple: new users would turn off the visibility of the layer and start drawing on it and complain that they couldn't see their drawing. This way, they'll always see their drawing.
  18. If you have my plugin pack, you can use Adjustments > Hue / Saturation+ to change the color:
  19. If the exe can’t find the standard install directory, it prompts you for the directory where you want to install the plugins.
  20. Paint.NET has a dark theme. Just click the gear icon in the upper right corner then choose the Dark theme.
  21. Try this tutorial: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/12184-fading-blending-gradient-tool-on-a-camaro-picture/
