Well, I tried previous versions etc .. but it always gave me the same. I guess i messed up something with my windows installation (customized with nlite). Thanks for the help.

Here is a random wall (not by me) i opened as a jpg,resized and saved as a png with paint.net. I should add that the png is readable on any other program I use but it just won't apply as a wallpaper. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y153/mitchmalibu/wall.png

Well, the title says it all, i just take a simple bmp put it as a wallpaper, it works. I "save as" the bmp to jpg with paint.net and then put it as a wallpaper, it works. But if I do the same with png, i won't get anything but the windows background color if I try to set it up as wp. Of course, I tried with some other png generated by other programs and it works perfectly. If anyone got an idea on what I am doing wrong it would be great. Thanks
