  1. Yes, support for a 7+ year old operating system that is in use by only a scant minority of users has been dropped. If you want to use Paint.NET v3.0 or later, then you must be using Windows XP SP2 or newer.
  2. Or just train your hands to press TAB and then T after you type in the filename.
  3. There's just a lot of posts where somebody applies 3 or 4 effects with various settings and posts the results. Not exactly very creative or interesting stuff. Some of it is getting to a point similar to the Photoshop lens flare filter that was so overused in the 90's
  4. When I open that image with the debugger attached it just spits out the good ol' fashioned "A generic error ocurred in GDI+" exception. Sounds like the image is malformed, like BoltBait said.
  5. Please read the sticky'd topic, "Are you having problems installing or uninstalling?"
  6. I dunno, I thought it was kind of creative. Crazy Man Dan = CMD => cmd.exe = command prompt Something doesn't have to involve 80 weird applications of effects to be good.
  7. Quite possible. Did the JPG open correclty with Paint.NET before being "tagged" with Vista?
  8. To further elaborate, every pixel in a 32-bit PNG has an alpha value that determines how transparent it is. The first 24-bits are for the standard red, green, and blue -- and then the last 8-bits tell the application how much to mix that color with the pixel that's already on screen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_compositing
  9. "Are you having problems installing or uninstalling?" ... http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=854
  10. Read the rules. No useless thread subjects. Locked
  11. If you want to integrate those tags into the image, just use the Text Tool. First expand the size of the image to add space at the bottom using Image->Canvas Size, however. And that's it.
  12. Those text tags are part of the web page, not the image. Paint.NET is not what you will be using to do this. You should ask the owner of that website how they do that.
  13. Far from sounding simple, your request actually makes no sense at all. How about an example of what you're looking for?
  14. It's ok if you add on to or change the text there, you just have to state what it's originally based on. Not being "good with copyrights and stuff" isn't an excuse unfortunately.
  15. Yeah usedHONDA. Don't be off topic like that. Your image doesn't make any sense at all. It's quite garish.
  16. usedHONDA, you're completely ripping off the content from the help file without giving any credit. Then, the contents are being relicensed under the GNU Free Documentation License. That's about as lame as things can possibly get man. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Paint.NET/ ... lend_Modes
  17. Perhaps you could read the rules and (1) avoid ALL CAPITALS, and (2) shrink your avatar. Please try again. Thread closed
  18. Did you happen to read the rules? C'mon man. This thread is ancient history. Thread closed
  19. You'll have better luck finding a place that specializes in troubleshooting or supporting installation of .NET itself then.
