  1. You not wanting to install SP3 isn't an excuse for anything. Like pyro said, go install SP3. Or, get Windows 7. Stop being such a weirdo.
  2. Easy. Try to install Paint.NET. If .NET 3.5 SP1 isn't around, it'll just go and install it for you. ... waits as you try it out ... See, wasn't that easy? It did all the work for you (Computers are great at automating things!) And no, there's no conflicts between XP SP3 and .NET 3.5 SP1. You shouldn't have any trouble there.
  3. It's so much easier and better to just install SP3. It's free, for cryin' out loud! It's 2 years old! You've had plenty of time! It's free! Please! Do it!
  4. The units selected in the toolbar are always persisted. You don't have to use Choose Tool Defaults If it isn't being saved then you probably have an issue with your registry permissions or something. Not Paint.NET's fault.
  5. You can come up with all sorts of clever things, but in the end the only thing you'll get is an inbox full of confused users.
  6. You can do whatever UI you want, but you'll have to stop using IndirectUI and implement all of the WinForms layout and data binding yourself. Not very fun, honestly. That's the whole reason I created IndirectUI.
  7. Worst UI ever, honestly ... Then again, IndirectUI doesn't give you all the most complete bestest UI flexibility ever.
  8. http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/?software 5.81% of Steam users have Paint.NET installed.
  9. Condescending remarks mean you're gonna be on your own with this one. Thread Closed
  10. Unfortunately his local hardware store has been hit pretty hard by the recession, and has to be closed ... Either that, or G4OFUC should stop posting when high. Thread Closed
  11. This isn't a legal help forum. You'll have to figure this out elsewhere. Thread Closed
  12. Thread closed. "Help!" as a thread title is completely unhelpful.
  13. If your system is corrupted, then you just need to get it fixed. Once the system is in an "undefined" state (or "decoherent" might be a better term), then there's no way to figure anything out using logic and reason. Even reinstalling won't matter if the hard drive is still physically wonky. Step 1. Fix it! Replace that hard drive. It's untrustworthy. Step 2. Come back to installing Paint.NET. It'll be much happier.
  14. This is just how GDI+ is doing things. Oh well.
  15. You've already got this feature. Just open up an Explorer window and set it to thumbnail view. Drag 'n drop images over to Paint.NET. In fact, in Win7 you can snap an Explorer window to the left and a Paint.NET window to the right, then you don't have to switch back and forth between the two. There is no reason why every possible utility or functionality related to images should be "integrated" into Paint.NET. And no, I'm not adding an e-mail or IRC client either.
  16. There's a website for figuring out what a font is. I forget. Fonts are managed at the operating system level, in the control panel. You'll have to go find it on the web somewhere, that's not what Paint.NET is in the business of. Fonts do not plug-in to Paint.NET. Paint.NET gets the fonts from Windows, and you plug the fonts into Windows from wherever, and can use them in all applications.
  17. Please remember to post in the correct section of the forum. Moved to Troubleshooting
  18. Dead thread is dead. Read the rules. Do not post again until you have. Thread Closed
  19. Umm, there's no difference between the editions of Windows 7 with respect to .NET 3.5 SP1 and Paint.NET.
