  1. Or maybe this...... This was done 100% in PDN using the same principle as used in the tut I linked to earlier in post #6.
  2. Excellent job on your flag animation SeeRose. Shift key hold + magic wand is best to use in this circumstance.
  3. The white bands are highlights and are more visible in dark colors. You can reduce the white bands by lowering the "HighLights" slider. I don't understand that question. The magic wand is the tool used to select the Highlights and Shadows outside the flag area for deletion.
  4. OK, last one. I shot this today from a bridge. The fall colors were very good and I couldn't resist....
  5. Here is an example of water animation using the same principle in the tutorial. I shot the river picture the other morning with my t2i.
  6. Great job Eli. I'm glad people can use this, and the same principle applies for water ripple/wave animation.
  7. Thanks midora. Pixey that flying hair looks cool......
  8. OK, the tut is up: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/32480-flag-animation/ This principle can also easily be applied to water ripple/wave animation.
  9. I made a video tutorial on creating a flag animation using Ed Harvey's Ripple plugin and midora's animate images plugin. Flag_tut.mp4 (10 mb)
  10. I did a flag animation in PDN. If there is interest, I may upload a video tutorial on how to do it using the "Ripple" plugin and midora's animate images.
  11. The DH shape maker has a "snap to grid" function when you are drawing shapes.
  12. I have 305 plug-ins installed and PDN (v4.06) loads in 3 seconds on my (i7) editing desktop. Load speed isn't a concern for me. I do remember it being slower on older systems however.
  13. I use Irfanview all the time to step through my pictures and animation using the arrow keys. If your images are numbered sequentially, You can load the first image into Virtualdub (free) and hit the play button. It will play at 10 fps by default.
  14. A couple things to try: 1) Right-click on image on your website and choose copy, then paste it in PDN and check actual resolution. 2) Make your text image the same resolution and save as png not jpg.
  15. Or something like this? I made this in less than 10 minutes in PDN using the standard "Four-point star" shape with some Gaussian blur.
  16. I did something similar on a spark plug a long time ago. I believed I used a typical lens flare filter. I can't quite remember how I did it, but I'm sure I can create it again without much trouble.
  17. The cropping tool in PDN clearly does not compete with PhotoShop no matter what tricks you can come up with. It is one of the greatest reasons that I still keep a very old version (PhotoShop7- circa 2002) of PhotoShop on my editing DeskTop. It makes cropping images for Blu-Ray format resolution sooooo much easier.......... Let's be honest, I like PDN as much as the next guy, but the cropping tool is not up to par with that of Photo Shop.
  18. Yes, I know about what exif metadata is and what info it holds. I often check the exif data on pictures I took to see which lens I used, F-stop, shutter speed, ISO, etc. There are many ways to strip or edit exif data. I'm curious as the the reason why the OP wants to do that?
  19. You are comparing a $600 + program with a Free program, maybe you have unreasonable expectations? Most (free) image editors work the same way. You need to take the extra steps to get the desired results, plain and simple.
