  1. ..........Or just use Overlay mode and erase away the leg posts.
  2. I'm not interested in winning a competition. I replaced the background because it looks cooler. I could've made that background, but don't feel like going through the trouble for a contest I don't want to win anyway. My image is for support only and to give more variations. Even if by chance I won, I would forfeit the win to the 2nd place winner anyway. So don't add it to the voting choices.
  3. Everything was done in Paint.Net, except the background image. It is just a 4 image animation. I used midora's animated images plugin to convert the images into animated gif. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/31629-animated-images/
  4. I like the bat, it goes well in my Halloween scene........
  5. Excellent job SeeRose. I ran out of reps, I'll be sure to give you one tomorrow.
  6. Everything but the background image is mine, so don't vote for it! I added Red Ochre's Gossamer effect (spider web) and a spider shape I made. I also added a flag animation (Jolly Roger). I like this one better.......
  7. While learning Paint.NET, my favorite tutorials were created by YellowMan and WelshBlue. Those guys really know their stuff and I highly recommend their tutorials. I learned a lot about PDN buy emulating their work.
  8. Cool plugin. Dang, I hate when I have a few pieces that I can't fit......
  9. Pixey, I made a cool Jack O Lantern shape that you can add to your Halloween collection. It is properly closed so you can make a filled shape. I used the "Trails" plugin to make the 3-D depth in the mouth eyes and nose.... Jack O Lantern shape:
  10. I've been running Win10 for a couple of weeks now on my Editing Desktop (i7) and my LapTop (i3). I haven't experienced this issue however.... Without a doubt Win10 is a bigger resource hog than Win7 or Win8.1. I don't notice the difference so much on my Desktop(i7), but I certainly notice it on my Laptop (i3). I used a nifty utility called "0&0 Shutup10" to disable many of the useless hidden processes running in the background. This definitely helped with the speed and efficiency.
  11. Agreed I've made a few video tutorials, but not of Paint.NET. I make tutorials about complicated s/w. Paint.NET is very easy in my opinion and there are already many fine high quality tuts on this site. I'm very certain you can learn a lot by following them. Whether the tut uses an older version or newer version, is pretty much irrelevant. The differences are not a deal breaker for the average user. It's all just another learning experience in the end.
  12. Excellent images, very well done. I like them all..........
  13. I used your ScareCrow shape (minus the hat) and put an animated pumpkin on it.......
  14. Also 7-Zip (that's what I use also) has the option to compress to zip as well as 7z. Zip is the most compatible while 7z compresses best.
  15. Happy Halloween Pixey..........
  16. Great job on your shapes Pixey. I like the cat best. Try to remember to name the shapes before you save them. Thanks for sharing......
  17. I like to put program shortcuts in my Right-Click "Send To" option. You can put PDN and Picassa in there, then right-click on an image and send it to PDN or Picassa. For Win8.1, you'll find the Send To folder in: C:\Users\"user-name"\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo This also works for Win7 and Win10. They use the same location.
  18. Thanks TR, Red and Pixey. I've been wanting to make an animated engine for a long time, but my drawing skills leave much to be desired. DH ShapeMaker made it a lot easier. Once I saw how nice my Piston shape came out, I figured I might as well build and animate the engine now....
  19. I tried the Corner Mode, but didn't like the results. Replacing it with something better sounds like a good idea to me.
  20. I tried out the new DH ShapeMaker plugin v1.20. I like the new 8x zoom, path counts and closed shape indicator. I made a bunch of engine parts shapes then assembled and animated them. Making the shapes was the easy part. Animating them was a little difficult. Much harder than it looks....
  21. I'm glad you're here making shapes. Your's are very good, my favorite is the palm tree. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to seeing more......
  22. Well I just finished making a nice Piston shape. I may make a fully functioning internal combustion engine and then animate it....... Here's a look at the pistons in an Old-School Hot Rod type logo.
  23. Great job on your shapes. I'm sure we'll be seeing more interesting stuff from you in the future....
