Thanks for the encouragement BbyQ, Yeah I thought steam punk. Just setting the story straight. None of that ruling class revisionist imperialist history here. ( my kids tell me I'm insane but they laugh @ my stuff anyway) :-)

Thanks for your treasury of space tuts Drydareelin. Now I need to work on my stars and dust for a bit and knock up a few more textures.

Cheers Woodsy and Pixey. Yeah I'm stuck on space scapes. It will take a few more days to perfect my ellements after working thru all the tuts but I'll be doing more space themes.

I decided I was bloody potato @ making celestials so I did a few tuts & had another go. I've kept my original blue planet (which is made from a photo I took of Lapis lazuli). I reinvented my sun and moon. Tacked it together and whacked in a bit of dust and Bob'your uncle.
-
Yes I've tried the planetoid plugin and it does a good job but I'm after something else. I'm presently ensconced in relevant tuts that I've since found.. Thanks for the info and interest Ego.

I think I've just found the mother load of space tuts. Woohoo! Tuvm Drydareelin.

I wasn't happy with the previous post so I redid it. Still not happy so I'm gonna do some research & have another go. Thanks to Pdnnoob for the moon tut.

Totes Lynxster, I felt like I was "pushing it" but gave it a go. I'm already deconstructing this cause there may be another one in me. Cheers for your interest Lynx, Cool moniker btw :-)

The big moon is made with "Lens and the smaller blue planet was made with "Shape 3d" The sun thingy was adapted from an exploding planet tut.My first attempt @ a cosmic composition.

Aww! Good onya Pixey. I've also increased the size of my canvas due to your's and Barbq's suggestions. 2400 x 1800 if I recall correctly. I've made a template & use it for most of my pieces. Though perfume bottles and such are not my thing, your style and finish are the cats pyjamas.. Anyway I look forward to learning and pinching a few more techniques from you in the future. Kindest regards & Tuvm :-)
