david.atwell
Hmm...Good point. Sorry for the confusion, sabrown100... ^^ And for that excellent display of how to apologize after biting a newbie, I'd like to thank my assistant, sabrown100! ;-) Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... david.atwell
New-er than me. And that's part of the problem that this rule aims to solve; to many people, a "newbie" is anyone newer than oneself, and worthy of biting. But in reality, we shouldn't consider anyone biteworthy. No, you're not a newbie. But I did bite you. And I'm sorry. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... Mike Ryan
Perhaps this rule can be extended to work with the Plugin section? There has been some heat with another member completely trashing another plugin author's plugins, and I am not going to mention names so do not ask. Simon Brown
Anyway, pyrochild always gives constructive criticism which I don't mind. What is unhelpful is when people just say how bad the plugin is.
Mike Ryan
Pyro was constructive, but perhaps a little to harsh. Yelling left and right and no pointers with code and whatnot. Very harsh, imo.
Simon Brown
no pointers with code How many plugin authors give out their code? It's not the job of the critics to write the plugins for the authors.
Mike Ryan
Forget my request. I am not going to argue it as it wasnt me who was the one who got bitten

pyrochild
but perhaps a little to harsh. .... Very harsh, imo. True. I was probably having a bad day or something. I don't know. In any case, I apologize. Its hard to believe im defending the person who flamed my plugin to death by agreeing with him. hehehe. "flamed." haha. Quote ambigram signature by Kemaru [i write plugins and stuff] If you like a post, upvote it!
BoltBait
How many plugin authors give out their code? They all do. If you know where to look. Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
Simon Brown
If you know where to look. I have heard of that - but that's not what I mean. I'm not one of the crowd that just decompile other people's programs without a second thought.
Mike Ryan
That is the most useful tool. I use it for-ironically enough-all of Pyro's plugins for help. And Pyro, I dont mind as it wasnt me being bitten but either way you are forgiven. Edit: Sabrown100, you can still ask for permission. I asked Pyro before I decompiled all of his plugins
