Having trouble finding inspiration? This plugin will help you take the first step towards creating that new 100% PdN masterpiece!
What does it do? It chooses a random plugin (or built-in effect), and randomizes the settings, to create a truly unique work of art.

Here's a game based on Random Effect: The Random Effect Image Game

Effects > Random Effect...

Does this plugin choose any random effect that has been installed onto your Paint.net or any random effect throughout Paint.net (like the ones you haven't downloaded before)

Did it crash it, is there a crash log, or did it just close it? If the latter, do you happen to have a plugin called "close paint.net" installed? :D

Any way to make CTRL+F run a different effect randomly?

I like this, but is it possible to make it a little less random to suite your current needs (e.g a random effect from the render menu or the distort menu depending on what you want to do with the picture)?

I think this is what you want.

This part?

Random Effect is amusing; it would be more so if a new effect were selected for every (Ctrl) + F. (I have a strong suspicion that this is impossible... oh well.

I remember I started out with that intention, and had to abandon it for some reason. Can't remember what that reason was, though. I'll look into it again.

Thanks.

Merry Christmas, everyone, have an update.
viewtopic.php?f=16&t=21706

Random Effect 1.2:
-Randomize Effect and Randomize Settings buttons added. Now you can have it randomly choose another effect, or just change the settings on the one it already picked.
-Opacity increased. I was having trouble reading it.
-No longer recenters itself every time a new effect is chosen. That was annoying.

So useful when I can't think what effect to apply to an image. Thanks a lot, pyrochild.

For some reason this crashes sometimes, always with the same error message, I don't know if there's a problem with this and Olden, but it seems like it since Olden runs just fine
