david.atwell Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 You'll have to be a little bit more specific, and maybe post an image. Which part of it do you want to reproduce? Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
PDNLEARNER Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 hi sorry this is the thing i had in mind Quote ~~EVERYTHING MADE IN PDN~~
Gladi8or2 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 I believe there was a tutorial about this once, but I can't find it anymore. Anyway, I've played around a bit, and the sphere is quite easily created with Shape3D, but the inside is a lot harder. I'm still working on it Quote
Rubrica Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6267 Is that what you're looking for? Quote
Gladi8or2 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Yes! SearchPaint.net couldn't find it  Anyway, you see in that tutorial that it's the hart of the sphere is what's the hard part... Quote

Gladi8or2 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 What I have on the sphere already: I know the lighting isn't perfect, it's more about the shape. Quote
PDNLEARNER Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 nice are you still trying to improve? because thats getting very close thanks by the way Quote ~~EVERYTHING MADE IN PDN~~
Gladi8or2 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 At the moment I'm working for school  , but tonight (I don't know where you live, here it's almost 2pm) I'll try to finish it. Especially the inside, the lighting on the sphere is something more basic, and shouldn't give you a lot of problems. Quote
ncfan51 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=6267Is that what you're looking for? I swear that there is an easier way of doing using Shape3D... Quote +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+ I am a disco dancer. +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+
barkbark00 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Here's my go at it. Made this using Shape 3D... The hardest part is lining up the "X". Quote Take responsibility for your own intelligence. 😉 -Rick Brewster
ncfan51 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Told You! BB00, was it you who made the Pokeball in shape3D too? Quote +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+ I am a disco dancer. +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+_+

PDNLEARNER Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 hey can u make a tut for that or sum simple instructions so i can make it Quote ~~EVERYTHING MADE IN PDN~~
barkbark00 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 After a little looking, I found that this tutorial (How to make a pearl.) might be a better option for creating the sphere. Shape 3D gives you too much highlight/shadow washout. This tutorial allows o to control the shading a little better. After that you just need to cut out the black background and your 'X' and then add the glowing insides. I'd use the "Alpha Mask Import" plugin for the cutting part... Ash Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 Shape 3D gives you too much highlight/shadow washout. You know you can adjust that in shape3d? just in case  Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
barkbark00 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 I know. It just seems like more work... Hey, at least it isn't in Japanese any more. Quote Take responsibility for your own intelligence. 😉 -Rick Brewster
Ash Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I know. It just seems like more work...Hey, at least it isn't in Japanese any more. Yeah, I sometimes don't make all my orbs in shape3d either Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
