Mint
It's me again, and I'm trying to animate yet another effect. What I need is simple; I want to make an object bigger. I have been unsuccessful in doing so (I can't use resize because the object is on another LAYER, rather than another picture). I tried using blurs and making them completely opaque, but the object becomes rounded rather than square (which is what I want, because the object I'm trying to resize is a square). Is there any way to resize a selection on a layer? If not, I feel a "Zoom in" plugin would work... or something.
BoltBait
Try the menu: Layers > Rotate / Zoom Shortcut: Ctrl-Shift-Z Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
Crazy Man Dan
You can accomplish this using the Move Selected Pixels () tool. Click on one of the nubs of the selection and drag to resize. You can hold [shift] to constrain the proportions. Also, there's Layers -> Rotate / Zoom... which has a zoom function. Cheers! BoltBait
Now, I'll give the real answer: It is always best to place something that you want resized into its own image in order to resize it. This is because when using Image > Resize, you have control over the resampling method.
