Arc
there is this cool kind of effect that shows a close up but with some lines that help you focus on that thing I was wondering how it couldbe done on PDN. Here is an example of what I'm ttalking about. http://www.drunkduck.com/Tests/index.php it's in the 3rd panel by the way.
Sozo
This is possible via the zoom blur/deluxe plugin. Just add noise then blur.
Arc
What about those lines? that's what i wanted to do.
Sozo
That's what the zoom blur will do to the noise.
david.atwell
This is an effect I came across a while back: -Use the Barcode Plugin (use search) to make lines all the way across the image. Don't encode many more than seven characters, or it'll be too distorted. -Use the Rectangular to Polar plugin. Ta-daa! Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Ash
Even better might be: Gradient bars (1st color black, 2nd color alpha=0) Adjust scale to what you want. Flip image Vercital Rect to pol Zoom blur few times as needed. Arc
What do you mean by Rect to Pol?

snospmiS
I guess you duplicate the layer befour you flip it vertically, don't you? edit tried it, makes no big difference though, just a bit darker (but why did you flip the image?) edit² Gradient bars (1st color black, 2nd color alpha=0) aah...I see! I just switched the 1st and 2nd color...same effect ^^ Quote .::[ Kiosk Orbs ]::.

Myrddin
Wouldn't MadJik's Light Rays plugin with a transparent secondary colour and a few slider tweaks work? The light rays were done on its own layer, duplicated, then twisted around. With more time I could have done better, thinner lines, opacity, more lines and such but I just wanted to get the general idea across. Ash
It might work, but you will have to spend much more time. Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]
david.atwell
Light Rays is much more even; Barcode makes it more random. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior...
