rectangle select at a specific size

Hi all,

I searched on forum and help and did not find anything (perhaps I s**k at search..)

I would like to know how I could create a rectangle select at a specific size, and then MOVE IT to the place I want.

For now, I can create my rectangle and press the arrow key on my keyboard to have the desired size, but it is not really nice to do.

Any nice way to do it?

What I do when I need to do that is create a new image, delete the white background, select the whole image, and paste it on a new layer on the first image. There might be an easier way, but this is all I know of.

but where in those results it show how to create a (example:) 50*142 rectangle select?

Perhaps you have saw this option in Photoshop. I would like to show a screenshot but don't have photoshop...

The Move Selection tool (http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/MoveTools.html) can adjust the selection to your dimensions and the Status Bar (http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/en/StatusBar.html) tells you live what the current dimension are of the selection. So if you want a box of 50*142 then draw and while doing so look at the Status Bar and it will show the current status of the selection.

There is not yet a way to just type in "150" "42" to create a 150x42 px selection, but this has become such a highly requested feature lately that the priority to implement this is pretty high up there.
