jw311
hi all. brand new guy here trying to fix a jpg I got from a designer. basically part of the logo has been filled in white instead of allowing transparency so when I place the logo over a dark back ground it shows white . Any idea how to fix with paint? see below
Cc4FuzzyHuggles
You need png, jpgs don't save transparency. Are you able to get a png version that does have a transparent background? If not, you will probably have to try some color removing plugins and then save the image as a png yourself. Ego Eram Reputo
Hi jw311 - welcome to the forum I recommend you go back to the designer and tell them you need a transparent background (i.e. not a jpg). I can't quite believe they would supply something like a logo as a jpg..... Ego Eram Reputo
Open the .PNG file. Activate the Magic Wand Hold down the Shift key and click on the white region. Adjust the tolerance in the tool bar to fine tune (maximize) the captured white pixels. Press the Delete key. Use File > Save As... to save a copy under a different file name. You still want to use a PNG format. Good luck! Eli
Not only the inside of the letter R is white (not transparent) but there are also some lines missing. Ask the designer to send you a corrected logo. Edited November 17, 2015 by Eli
