Ego Eram Reputo
The jagged edges can generally be removed by applying AA's Assistant. For simple black/white background removals I generally use AlphaSpace, though Grim Color Reaper will remove a wider range of colors. For complex backgrounds, try this tutorial http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/14090-remove-tricky-backgrounds/ 1 ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
Cc4FuzzyHuggles
There are several ways to remove backgrounds. See here for some of them : http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/28305-mini-tuts/?p=409110On the list I do mention a plugin for cutting out images and multiple edge smoothing plugins. Protopia
There are multiple web sites that offer automated background removal without any selecting of areas by the user. Surely it is possible to replicate the algorithms they use in paint.net?
