GOOGOOHEADGOOGOOPLEX
If I use the UNDO command, will I only be able to undo for the current session? I just opened the program and started to work. I did some stuff I shouldn't've. So if I just hold down CTRL+Z, will that only undo what I did today? I don't want to change anything from yesterday. Thanx in advance for any help...
Ego Eram Reputo
Yes. Undo is restricted to the current session. If you don't wish to keep any changes, you could exit or close the image without saving it. david.atwell
Also, making sure that you make as many changes as possible on other layers, keeping a "static"/"clone-from" copy on your hard drive, etc. The program cannot save undo history because it would make the file size MASSIVE. It would essentially have to save the image every single time you made a change, and keep that change forever. Make five changes? The file is now five times the size. Twenty changes? Hope you have plenty of time to wait for file transfers. And twenty changes would be a really small number of changes, realistically. :-) Not even Photoshop saves undos across sessions. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
