Enzo954
This might be a silly question, but how do you redo text once you've moved onto something else. For instance, I wrote some text and then later on decided that I wanted to edit it but it's not clickable for some reason. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to make the text clickable to change it.
DrewDale
Welcome to the forum Unfortunately once you have committed your text to a layer and then moved on, you cant re type it.There is a plugin here Editable-text that may be of use for you to use in the future.
Ego Eram Reputo
For the reason that text is not editable once committed to the canvas, we recommend you place your text on it's own layer. If the text needs to be edited, the layer can be erased and the text retyped. ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
akk
Is there a way to identify what font one used in a previous layer? If I want to replicate it elsewhere, I hate to admit it, but often cannot remember what I used....ahem. Thanks.
Ego Eram Reputo
The font will remain selected for the duration of your Paint.NET session, or until you change it. After that, no - excepting your ability to id the font by eye. cannot remember what I used This is the reason I recommend placing the font name, size and formatting options in the layer name A layer name like Header Text @ Arial 33 Bold leaves you in no doubt how to recreate the text.
