How to edit text?

Recommended Posts

This might be a silly question, but how do you redo text once you've moved onto something else. For instance, I wrote some text and then later on decided that I wanted to edit it but it's not clickable for some reason. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to make the text clickable to change it.

For the reason that text is not editable once committed to the canvas, we recommend you place your text on it's own layer.  If the text needs to be edited, the layer can be erased and the text retyped.

The font will remain selected for the duration of your Paint.NET session, or until you change it.  After that, no - excepting your ability to id the font by eye.

cannot remember what I used

This is the reason I recommend placing the font name, size and formatting options in the layer name ;)  A layer name like Header Text @ Arial 33 Bold leaves you in no doubt how to recreate the text.
