Adding watermark to multiple images

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm a photographer, and I would like to add a small watermark to photographs I publish online. So that people would find my name and website. I know how to add a watermark to a single image, but I was wondering if there is any way to add the same watermark to multiple images in one operation. This can be done in PS so I was hoping that there is also a way with Paint.NET.

I searched on this forum and found a similar topic but it does not contain an answer: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/25073-batch-editing-watermarking/?hl=watermark

Thanks in advance!

If you make your watermark on its own layer, you can simply copy and paste it into a layer on all the images.

Yes that's indeed a possibility, but is there a way to add the watermark to a big load of images without having to open them seperately? I take pictures at 16 megapixels so they don't load instantly to PDN. If I wanted to add a watermark to 500 pictures, it would take days...

I know another free software that has a picture batch editor that can add watermarks to all pictures selected for editing. I've tested it and it works and would apply the same watermark setting on every picture on the batch. The speed from which it completes this still depends on the size and number of your pictures. if you have 500 800x600 pictures, that could only take a little more than 10 minutes.

I'm not sure if that program is allowed to be discussed on this forum though.
