cstin123
if I create a text layer, is there a way to go back and make changes to it? so far in using paint.net, when I want to make a change, I end up deleting the first layer and recreating it because I can't figure out a way to change it. Also, if I go back to a text layer, it doesn't tell me what font was used? So then I have to go back through all my fonts and try to find that same one to recreate it. is there a way around all this? toe_head2001
No, Paint.NET doesn't have this feature, but you can try using the Editable Text plugin. Quote My Gallery | My Plugin Pack Layman's Guide to CodeLab
Ego Eram Reputo
Once you have committed text to a layer it ceases to be characters and becomes groups of pixels. This means it is not editable - unless you use the plugin toe_head pointed you to. RE: font names. The last used font, font size and formatting should persist over a Paint.NET session. It's a good habit to get into to place these bits of information in the layer name (press F4). <moved to Paint.NET Discussion & Questions> Quote ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker
