Santi
Hi, I just discovered the nice funcionality of the custom palettes. I am able to name and save them, but, when I try to load any one of them (Clicking on the respective palette) nothing happens, the colors are not loaded...nothing happens...is this a bug, am I doing something wrong (I dont think so)??? The other items, like "open palettes folder", do work. By the way, I love Paint.NET! so many hours spent together!
nitenurse79
In your documents folder do you have a sub-folder called Paint.NET user files? Inside of this should be another folder called Palettes this is where they reside
Ego Eram Reputo
Can you post one of the custom palette files here? I'm wondering if they are in some way malformed. Is your installation of Paint.NET done to a default location (C:\Program Files\Paint.NET) or some other place? Ego Eram Reputo
Paint.NET reloads the last palette you used - even if you didn't save it. I suspect that you're not seeing the changes because the palette you're loading is exactly the same as the one already present. When you select an installed palette (by clicking the menu name), the only thing that changes are the colors in the palette swatch. Can you try loading the default palette (option in the palette menu) then loading your custom palette? I suspect that you will see the changes between the two. Santi
Hi, thanks for your interest. No, definitively my Paint.NET does not load any palette, nor the saved palettes and neither the default palettte. I can "save palettes", I can "open the palettes folder", but the buttons to load palettes, do not work at all. whatever I chick there, the colors selection in my palette swatch remains. By the way, I tried right now in another computer and the trouble replicates there...I am using v3.5.10.
Ego Eram Reputo
Are you sure? The palette you posted looks VERY similar to the default palette. Try making the first three or four colors the same in the palette file (edit with a text editor). I.e. instead of: ; se pondrán en blanco (FFFFFFFF). Si hay más, los colores adicionales se ignorarán. Santi
Thanks Ego Eram Reputo, you helped my to understand my mistake, because, I am so idiot and blind!! I missunderstood the "color palette" with the "color swatch", so I was expecting the saved colors loaded in the 2 boxes of the swatch, not in the palette. I did not pay attention to the palette... OK, UNDERSTOOD, AND OF COURSE IT WORKS
