con100 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I want to crop out the car. But is there any easy way to do that? When you use the magic wand to select the outside area it also selects the car. Thanks. Quote
AhmedElyamani Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 (edited) hello, welcome to the forums! the idea is that you can't "crop" an image out of a background just like that in one click , but you can follow these techniques : 1- use the magic wand tool after editing the tolerance to erase big parts (you are going to have to edit the tolerance many times, the cutting doesn't have to be very smooth ) 2- after that get the lasso selection tool to select and delete the other pieces here and there . (don't worry about teeny pieces) 3- get AA'S assistance plugin (you can find it at the plugin index) . use it to smooth the edges and erase the teeny parts that you ignored . following these steps wisely will lead you to this result in a minute: Hope that was helpful!
