B&W with a spot of color - how to?

Recommended Posts

You use this link http://searchpaint.net/ and type in the term 'pleasantville effect' . That should link you to a tutorial, but there is also a plugin here: Extract Color.

I've edited your thread title. "Layers, adding layers" does not really describe the content of your post. We have a rule that thread titles must be descriptive. You can read the rules here: Forum Rules

I would think that you could simply select the area you want to stay red with the magic wand, making sure you get just the area you want then hitting Ctrl-I which will invert your selection, and then go to black and white under the adjustments section and turn the inverted selction to b&w
