Hi thanks for the reply if I show you what i want to do it may be easier, a diamond isn't really a Rhombus because you cannot change the length of the sides AFAIK this is what I want to do (see pic below) I want to replicate the 'A' as the first letter below using three objects - a diamond and two rhombus' or as my spelling checker says Rhombi Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Set Primary color = green Set Secondary color = blue Add a new layer with Ctrl + Shift + N Shapes > Triangle. Drag one out with the Shift key held down. Duplicate the layer Use Fill tool and right mouse to recolor the second triangle blue. Activate the magic wand tool In the blue triangle layer, select the background with a low tolerance, then invert the selection with Ctrl + I Press M twice. Move the selection to the right using the keyboard arrow keys (count how many time you hit the keys). Press Delete. Repeat steps 8 to 10 in the green triangle layer, but move the selection to the left the same number of steps before deletion. Set the top layer blend mode to MULTIPLY. Activate the magic wand tool and set the Sampling mode (in the toolbar) to IMAGE Select the overlap.
