billy bob 2020
I would like to insert an image onto an existing canvas with the new image resized to existing canvas. Can this be done? How?
ardneh
Open the second image, resize, then copy/paste into a new layer in the first image.

When you do step 5 the move tool is activated automatically. All you need to do is grab the South East corner nub and drag it to the corner of the canvas. ardneh
Using EER's method--- If the second image's aspect ratio is different from the first image, hold the Shift key down while doing this part: Quote ...grab the South East corner nub and drag it to the corner of the canvas. This will avoid distorting the image. (Actually it's a good idea to hold down the Shift key even if it is the same aspect ratio.)
