Removing background

Hello

 

How do you remove a white background with black text, I tried with the magic wand but then I have to click in side all the O or any other letter that has "hole".

 

The sad thing is that I have done this before but i don't recall how I was doing it.

Hold down Shift while you make the click with the Magic Wand ?. This enables Global selection & all the occurrences of the clicked color will be added to the selection.

That did work. I don't recall what I did before but it was not as easy as this.

You probably used the Flood Mode option in the Tool Bar. The Shift key is much faster ?

@Francesc please see a recent, related thread. In my opinion, the Magic Wand is usually the wrong way to go.  Use, instead, a plugin that converts white pixels to transparent pixels. It will handle character edges much better.
