Owen48 Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 Hi newbie here. Using Paint.Net to create posters, cd covers etc. I want to overline and underline text and wondered if anyone can confirm how you do that. Thanks in anticipation of your assistant. Owen Quote
MJW Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 If you're talking about the Text Tool, underlining is easy: just click on the Underline icon in the tool bar. There's also a Strike-Through, but no Overline. As far as I know, overlining isn't something that's commonly done, but if you need it, you'll probably have to draw the line yourself with the Line/Curve tool. When drawing lines, you can hold down the Shift key to constrain the line to horizontal, vertical, or 45 degrees. 1 Quote
Ego Eram Reputo Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 Hi Owen48 - welcome to the forum Underlining of text is supported. Use the underlining icon in the toolbar when the text tool is active REF: https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/TextTool.html#4 To get overlining, add a new layer and use the Line/Curve tool to draw a straight line above the text (hint: use the Shift key to help keep the line horizontal). Move the layer to correctly align it.
