TheQuietAssassin
I don't know if this has something to do with the program, my PC, or both. Please help me. Tell me what this means and how I can fix this. Be detailed cuz I don't do well with broad descriptions.
toe_head2001
Looks like you opened an image file that is on a CD, and then tried to save the modified image back to the CD. Or if not a CD, it was a file that was otherwise set to read-only. Quote My Gallery | My Plugin Pack Layman's Guide to CodeLab
TheQuietAssassin
It was not a CD. How do i change it so that it is not ready-only? BTW thanks for helping me out
Eli
The error message is telling you to "Use File ->Save As... under a different name"

Rightclick on the file in Filemanager/Explorer and change in the file properties the attribute by removing the checkmark "Read only". TheQuietAssassin
It didn't have a check mark next to "Read only"... Also how would I "Use File ->Save As... under a different name"? do I just change my name on my desktop?
toe_head2001
See that padlock icon on your file there in your screenshot? That means you are not the owner of the file, or otherwise don't have write permissions. Click on the "Security" tab, and take a look at the details it gives you. 9 minutes ago, TheQuietAssassin said: Also how would I "Use File ->Save As... under a different name"? This is pretty self-explanatory. I assume you're just looking a confirmation? In paint.net, click on File, and then click on Save As. TheQuietAssassin
In that little square thingy under Application Packages it only has checks next to "Read & Execute" and "Read." Would I have to put a check next to "Full Control"? If so, how? I tried clicking it but it did nothing.
Rick Brewster
Did you install this from the Windows Store? If so, you won't be able to modify files within the "application package," which is what it looks like you're trying to do. This will not work. At all. 1 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
TheQuietAssassin
I did not install from the Windows Store. I'd used paint.net before and it worked perfectly. I don't know why it won't work anymore
toe_head2001
Rick was saying that you installed 'World of Tanks' from the Windows Store, not paint.net. Quote My Gallery | My Plugin Pack Layman's Guide to CodeLab
