SisiSina
Dear all Is it possible to save images as uncompressed tiffs with paint.net? I need to edit images and afterwards use a program that can only open tif files and if I use the tiff format, they have to be uncompressed. Else I get an error (Error: Cannot open compressed tiff files (1)). Thanks and cheers Sina Edited July 6, 2016 by SisiSina
Ego Eram Reputo
Paint.net includes this legacy format in a very rudimentary way, so there is no configuration dialog with the TIFF format and hence no configuration options. We generally point users to another format (like PNG), however if this is not an option you'll have to open the compressed image in another editor and resave it. toe_head2001
Indeed, paint.net only uses what's natively provided by GDI+. However, a motivated plugin developer could probably use something like LibTiff.Net to throw a plugin together.
