Iceing15
In Photoshop, a portion of the instructions are as follows: Change the fill mode from Foreground to Pattern. How does this work in Paint.net?
Simon Brown
Paste the pattern image onto a new layer, select the area in which to fill on the original, move to the new layer, invert the selection, press delete and merge the layers.
Iceing15
Thanks. But I am a newbie, and when I tried adding a new layer, for some reason the new layer is not showing up. Any suggestions?
BoltBait
Actually, what you need to do is this: Select the paint bucket tool. In the toolbar at the top, change the "Fill:" from "Solid Color" to the pattern of your choice.
