  1. Now I really want to delete my paint.net account permanently beacuse I worry that it would get hacked and abused. My posts can be left on the site or removed depending on what the moderators think. Anyway I have not been using my account much. Unlike earlier, I am completely sure of this decision.
  2. pdnoob, that was a wonderful tutorial. I liked that awesome moon texture. Keep it up.
  3. Wow, Technorobbo you have been up to creating a whole bunch of great plug-ins. Excellent work.
  4. I need to apologise to bbq25 for PMing her. (I broke rule #10) Congratulations pdnnoob on becoming a moderator.
  5. I have broke rule #10 (PMing moderators). How can I make up for this and apologise? Oh no, I have posted it in the wrong sub-forum. Now how can I make up for that?
  6. Flare are another thing, like the many plug-ins on paint.net that create nice effects.
  7. That's great welshblue. Sci-fi textures are another group of interesting textures which could come into the textures forum.
  8. There have been a lot of great tutorials to create a variety of textures. However, it would be nice if tutorials on sci-fi textures come up such as spaceship doors, futuristic walls etc. That would introduce someting new to the forum like always when people come up with great tutorials. I am certainly no expert at Paint.net but I am coming up with this suggestion.
  9. Thanks bbq25. I haven't deleted any of my posts yet and I won't do so. Congratulations on becoming a moderator
  10. Great tutorial. I enjoyed making the bullet image. Thanks for the tutorial.
  11. I want to know, if it is possible or allowed to delete your own posts? Or is it rude?
  12. Sometimes links in tutorials take you to the paintnet.forumer site. All I get when I click on such a link is ads and the text 'The requested topic does not exist.' What could possibly be happening?
  13. Great and awesome tutorial. The displacement plug-in on the clouds created a moon-like texture. This texture can be tweaked for something different. Required plug-ins for this Sepia 2 and/or colour filter 1. Finish making the planet. 2a. Run Sepia 2 at any setting you like on the planet layer. The advantage Sepia 2 has over the normal Sepia plug-in is that you can vary the shades of brown. Certain settings can make the texture resemble the surface of the planet Mercury. OR 2b. Run colour filter at any setting you wish on the planet layer. Keep the filter density high for a complete, high saturated colouring. You can change the moon-like planet into a wasteland planet by giving a high density of red colour filter. Use a medium-high density amount if you don't want the planet to be dark but still have plenty of colour. A low amount, adds a tinge of a low-saturation colour. Use a medium amount if you want a 'go-between.' Set the 'preserve highlights' settings to zero. 3. If you made an atmosphere, follow these steps to recolour it. Run sepia 2 at a low setting or run colour filter with a low to medium density. Set preserve highlights to something between 0 and 130. 4. There you go. Here is a suggestions for the planet, see attachment for more. Colour filter hue to red, density high to get a nuclear wasteland or wartorn planet. Or a reddish-planet. Also try setting the colour hue to 'flip', the density to 'great tutorial' and give it a colour filter and/or a Brightness/Contrast (or H&S) touch-up to get any of these stunning results. . Psot.txt
  14. Wow, this is simply great. Now people can run Burn,Dodge and whatever you mentioned in Paint.net. As the making feathered brushes here is a bit tricky, you can blur a black dot, run B&A and use custombrushesMini to make a brush. Although it may not be as good as yours. By the way, smudging is now possible with pyrochild's smudge tool. Simply run it on a layer and smudge whatever you want. Thank pyrochild for the smudge tool.
  15. Awesome tutorial , but I didn't use feathered brushes

    Starscapes

Sharp said "And now your done! Comments/criticism/questions welcome." In that case I'll tell you the positives and negatives of your tut. Negative: I had done this tut without cloning from different star layers. Later, I saw a post telling to clone from different layers. So that was what was going wrong. I was going to abandon it... Positive: ...until I transformed into a dusty nebula. Overall your tutorial was good. Probably if I try again, I may make a nice starfield. Design: 9/10 Process: 5/10 (I am sorry Sharp, but that is my opinion. You said "Comments/criticism/questions welcome.") Inspiration 7/10 (At least, I made a nebula.) A question for you. Why don't you edit your tutorial and put the instruction to clone from different star layers?
  17. I changed my mind now. I want to keep by account. Sorry, if I caused any trouble.
  18. Jerry, have you tried making a mult-coloured nebula. Try this. To make a multi-coloured nebula follow these steps. 1. Follow Jerry's tutorial but don't use colour filter. 2. Above the nebula layer, create a new layer. 3. Run Render>Multi-colored gradient. Select Linear. 4. Choose any colours you would like and adjust the count so that it is the same as the number of colours you have chosen. Leave these settings default it you like. 5. Set the gradient layer's blend mode to Color Burn; the nebula's to Glow and adjust the opacities to your liking.
  19. I have to rate your tutorial, Jerry and I am almost sure that you'll be happy with the ratings you are going to recieve. Design: 5/5 Inspiration: 5/5 Maximum points, marvellous, just marvellous. Such a beautiful design; such an easy tutorial. Thanks for the tut, now I can great nebulae in a snap! .
  20. Did you make the spaceship? Good nebula
  21. Ratings for your tut, Barbieq25. Design, a full ten. Process a 9/10. Inspiration 10/10. 29 points - almost perfect.
  22. I think it would be better if you ran clouds with a roughness of about 0.80 instead of 1. That is my opinion; it doesn't have to be anyone else's.
  23. I enjoyed your Sun tutorial. Ratings: Design rating 10/10 Process rating 10/10 Inspiration rating 8/10 So you have 28 in total out of a possible 30. You know what that means...
