Hmmm, that's an odd one. Sometimes when I have encountered the same error, I would "right" click the file, select "open with" and browsed for paint.net and the file has opened ok for me 8 times out of 10 at least.
I do assume you saved the file as .pdn ?
I have now been given the go ahead to host this comp As soon as I hear from the winner of this one, I will begin comp #59. I look forward to keeping this alive for as long as possible. Thanks to Welshblue / Minners71 / Doughty and jim100361 for the nominations. Thanks also to pyrochild for not only granting me the privilege to host it, but also the trust to keep it running. I am humbled.
Some great works here Rafroller, very creative, your text images here are really detailed. Keep up the good work
However one or two of your images are over the 800x600px size, you would be best to re-size them
Minners71 - 0 (although a really good sig, it's vertcal, just not quite "there" for me)
Rafroller - 1 (Clean lines, nice composition, good background too)
The score now stands at;
Minners71 - 0
Rafroller - 2
Doughty - 1 (even though it is csm725's tut I love the effect - I have a variation ready to use)
Hougesen - 0 (reason - It's the same as your last entry with added rotate/zoom - Still a cool font though )
The score is now;
Doughty - 2
Hougesen - 0
I'm always nice I am just saying that personally I would either write down the web address or email them a link to download software, google (and others) are not always the safest place to aquire things.
I would have thought if you have used it for years, the least you could do was give him the correct place to download it from.
As Rick says report any add like that to google or any other search location, most people know where to get PDN, sadly many others fall prey to Phishing scams.
Reason for edit - poor spelling.
I usually take bits from one or two tute's to create something. I find that thinking outside of the box gives you a unique style. I really love the 7th pic (a planet) and the sword is nice too, just a few jagged edges around the handle that could be fixed with AA's assistant or feathering
