  1. i may create a stem and add it onto my grass with a simple sky backdrop EDIT: See first page for updated rose !!
  2. if you are after a light reflection as in shiny glass effect then you just add a new layer, draw white for the focal light point then play with glow, transparency and probably best to add a bit of a blur too

LOL! i should think so!! glad to hear the horse is back in progress . Thats where im lucky i have my dad who is a artist so i grew up learning to draw (what a cheat? )
  4. Thats because it was the first ever render i have used ! I quite like how you can alter them so may have a go at using another one..i personally just create stuff from scratch usually
  5. its nice but it looks like his big nose takes the focus a bit

crikey Oma those thanks must have taken a while! I have lost place of your horse on posts during my 2 weeks, i dont suppose you know where abouts it is because i would love to see the progress/finished piece? it was coming along brilliantly when i was keeping a watch on it
  8. if the image is already flattened and saved etc so you cant go back to before hand there is a VERY tedious nooby way but its the only way that i can think of..pixel by pixel colour alteration along with blur...i would duplicate the layer then clur then change layer setting..maybe clouds will show up less saving you a bit of time? i know its a really pathetic idea but you never know it may work :? EDIT: Lmao Oma beat me to it!
  9. quite nice i like the purple one of, i think the pokemon mewtwo? not sure :o
  10. by simply pasting the image itself into the small space you would only get the selected space of the image but you can move it about nutill you have the right part you want? if you mean you have a small space but a large image and you want to paste the whole image into it then the only thing you can do is resize it :?
  11. k ill have a look see what i can do  edit: Prety fudgy really aye? :? ..
  12. ok, what sort of theme would you like? (bare in mind ive not attempted sigs and avvys before - be kind! lol)
  13. i am thinking of having a go at one, have one in mind?
  14. Just dl'd it, this is going to be really useful in saving time!
  15. i wish i could do that haha, i sketch it then draw it based on my sketch. I love drawing though, art runs in my blood
  16. Yup i sketched it on some paper then drew it on pdn (i ALWAYS use this method) as if i tend to go straight to pdn it nearly always turns out dodgy
  17. @Boude: my original rose had a black gradiant background but people said they prefered it like this o.o but ill pop up the original with gradiant when i find it on my pc onto page one in the hidden part, see what you think? @yy:
  18. Ill put a shadow and see what happens, hopefully it should sort out the poor feathering a bit hehe
  19. Ooo thats quite a nice banner, i like how it has that stamped sort of feel 'cause of the shading
  20. @Boude: wow  thanks a million !! I really admire EVERYONE on these forums, new and old as i think everyone has skill in their own right. I just think i need more patients with my pieces because i get near the end then just want to zoom onto something else hehe. And to think i could be concidered as one of the best then gawsh makes me blush  ! @yy: You soo could! your realistic pieces are really good but if you just practice on a bit of detail im sure you can do them too
  21. i really like yours and envy how you can do leaves, mine just look like i green shapes pointlessly sitting there when i try
  22. @yy you were ahead of my own post! & i think i am going to have to edit that picture to make it better...it looks like it has a bit of potential (even though i say so myself :o -- for starters it feels like its missing something on the bottom [leaves most likely!!])
  23. Ok as per request i had some spare time so thought i would do a small, and prety :AntiAliasingOff: lilly as i didnt really feather it well and suck at leaves majorly . But uhm..i hope you guys like it? i think overall its prety nice but thats up to you to decide! The pollen part in the center turned out well i think though, best part imo but i always find that bit quite easy :? Oh..and the bottom petal was a complete blooper, it was originally meant to make it look as though the leaf was curving up slightly as they do but yeh...i kind of messed it up :?
  24. They are all nice but of course, who doesnt like pandas?!
  25. looks like you have put a blob of paint on one of those spinny wheels they use for clay . Nice effect and the splintered background is a nice added touch
