  1. Looks like an album cover I'd buy Check out some of this: IDM playlist
  2. Dpy makes some good videos about using pdn for photo retouching, here's a fine example:
  3. So they can give you a written warning for something that looks SIMILAR to their logo? I honestly do not believe that.
  4. A bow is tied exactly the same way as you tie your shoes.
  5. Oh My first thought we'd be creating tutorials for this one... Every category in the tut forum can be used as a source for tutorials, right? I see much potential in the photo-manipulation section, but text-effects would be kind of unfitting. The winning image of the contest could then be included in the tutorial it was based of! But doesn't that mean that just Hosts can suggest new competitions as they are the only ones that can post a thread here? Open the Competition Ideas thread again, mods..
  6. Nebulae = less contrast Planets = more contrast, clearer texture Will do, thx
  7. Welcome to the Pictorium! You don't need to put every picture in a hide-tag. All very small images, so that shouldn't be a problem. Visit the forums often, your work will improve
  8. L3ron, you will be disappointed, completely scrapped that background, I just couldn't do the nebula without brushes and a tablet, I think. After much experimenting, I found a way to make awesome nebulae without brushes, but they need a black background to work, so no colours in the finished piece.. Finally, after finding a way to colour the nebulae and much tweaking, I had an awesome spacescape.. but the planets didn't really fit But at that point I just wanted the planets to fit in and somehow worked them in, too bad they mask the nebulae now -.- Anyway, here it is: Spacescape 003 Bigger version: http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/2035/spacescapenew1500px.png There is also a HUGE 4000px*3000px version, will be uploaded on request. Maybe Sozo has some ideas on how to make colourful spacescapes that look good
  9. Try open it in MS Paint, does it change its colour there? If not, save it in MS Paint (as .jpg or .png) and then open it in Paint.NET.
  10. You are way overthinking the issue, just post it. You aren't selling anything, and the copyright owners have better things to do than drag millions of forum users to court.. Will Sony sue for this? I don't think so.
  11. @ SparkRazor It's easier than I thought. First, install this PlugIn: Grim Color Reaper Open the flattened .png of your text. Set your primary colour to the background colour (if you followed the tut, it's black). Use the PlugIn at default settings. Background gone! You can then make a new layer under the text and try out different background colours, if you choose black, you'll see the text looks like before again! Use Colour Tint to adjust the text's hue. Will update the tut with this
  12. I suspect spam. Spam test: I don't like it.
  13. As long as you don't use your work in a commercial way, there shouldn't be an issue.
  14. Maybe he's thinking of the other Paint.net site (Warren Paint & Color Co.) and didn't understand the redirect page..
  15. Also get Adblock Plus if you are using Firefox. The ad design on some sites is deceiving or a just a mess.
  16. Are you doing these just for fun or are this actual contract works? Looks great as always.
  17. Should work great, can't think of something better now.
  18. I think Layers -> Rotate / Zoom (Ctrl+Shift+Z) does exactly what you want.
  19. Just a little glimpse of what I'm going for: The planet's just pasted in, I think it's going to be much smaller in the final image..
  20. A little update on the spacescape: When I started to do the background (very bright and colourful if I might add, also 4000*3000px, even with a quad painfully slow sometimes), I realised the lava planet fits not in at all. So that one will go in a later piece
  21. It MAY look like pdn is a slow application but this feature enables the user to be more freely with his mousemovements! With other programs that do not have this kind of behaviour I sometimes get 'out of range' with the cursor and the sub-menu vanishes, which annoys me. Pdn doesn not suffer from this problem. What a great idea!
