Here is what Wikipedia says about Steam Punk Here is a Google Image Search for Steam Punk I had never heard of Steam Punk until Mike Ryan chose it for a SOTW theme. I researched it and had a great time with the sig and eventually won the comp with this sig, which is a spin on one of my favorite movies. When I thought of the theme idea I was thinking about things like steam powered space ships or space stations, but I think it would be great if we left it open to what ever the artist chooses whether it be a space ship or a space suit or even maybe space weapons. Really, it's almost endless what you could come up with. I think it might be a lot of fun and would give everyone a chance to show off their metal and wood skills. I promise I won't be offended if everyone wants to go with a different theme. There are so many good ones on the list, I think it will be a great comp no matter what we choose.

WOW ! I started this exact image (idea) last year and never could finish it. It was pretty bad, but I still like the idea. I'll add this one to the list. I'm definitely going to extend the deadline until tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m. I have been moving my office to another building and I'm wore out. I wasn't able to get to a computer all day because of the move and we didn't get the computers and servers running until almost 4:00 p.m. If anyone has another one they want to enter, send me a PM. I'll be out all day hauling old computer equipment to the recyclers, but I'll be home tomorrow evening......if I don't get eaten by bears.

I really like Oceanus. One pit of critique, I think the center image part should be larger and the golden rings, fewer of them. I think just the hint of them would be more effective and would act as an accent to the main part of the image. Loving the colors. Makes me feel cool and crisp. Wait, does that make me sound like iceberg lettuce?

Really lovin the WIP. Beautiful background, can't wait to see the planets.

I just noticed that I had the wrong date for the ending of the SAC. I had it as Friday April 12th when in fact Friday is April 8th. D'oh!

Very good points. So far, I see no comments from the opposing view. Let's give it a try and see how it goes. I'll make if official. Multiple entries allowed but not to exceed two entries per competition. This new rule starts now for the SAC and WOTW comps. No, but I have a good memory for this kind of thing. All the SAC comps are in the Archive section. When I have time, I'll try to list them in order of which comp had which theme. I really need to get to work on my entry, so it might be a few days. Thanks for your input. I think no more than two entries would be fair. I know that we have been around this bush before, but I'm always open to anything that will give the comps a little boost. Since participation has fallen off in the last few weeks, I don't see the harm in allowing multiple entries with a maximum of two for a while and see how it goes. Anyone else have an opinion on this issue?
