I think we should stick to the agreed rules for all of my comps and limit the entries to two per artist.

New theme is up and running ! How does everyone feel about having a special comp to create new award badges for the SAC? Here is what I would like........ 1. Awards for 1st 2nd and 3rd places. Blue, red, and green or gold, silver and bronze (or both). 2. Badges should be avatar sized so that they could be used on this forum (or other forums). Or they could be sig sized as long as they comply with this site's size specs. 3. Badges would be Space themed with each badge being the same general theme, but each somewhat different and following the above color schemes. 4. For the comp to be started this week and ending sometime before the current SAC entry period ends so that the new badges can be awarded to the winners. 5. Someone to run this comp for me. Please? Really, please? Pretty please?

Space Art Competition #14 THEME IS: Eclipse SAC Comp Rules: All submissions must be created in Paint.net with the exception of renders and stock photos when allowed. When they are allowed, obviously you cannot use the stocks or renders as your entire submission, so the majority of your image should be created in Paint.net. When Theme Rules allow, you must post a link to any stocks, renders, images or parts of images you did not create in Paint.net, i.e. fractals created in a fractal generator program or textures created in another program of any kind. Minimum size is 800 X 600. There is no Maximum Size. Special Rule #5. Do not anger the Possum. Submission Rules All images must be submitted to me in a PM. Do no post your image in this thread ! Do not post your images in your gallery or any other gallery until this comp is over ! I will post your image in the poll, that is the only time your image should be seen before the voting begins. Do not sign your image or put any kind of identifiable marker or logo in your image that people will link to you. You may post your image on any other website where you are a member (i.e. Deviant Art, PdN Fans Forum, Facebook or any other forum or website, just not on this website until the comp has concluded. NO PLACEHOLDERS! Do not send an entry until it is a finished product. NO WIPS (works in progress) ! No images previously submitted will be allowed. I reserve the right to add to the rules as people do things to annoy me. (See special rule # 5.) THEME IS: Eclipse Theme rules: You are to make an image depicting an eclipse. It can be a lunar, solar, or planetary eclipse. You may include planets and other space objects like moons, asteroids, planets, nebulae, possums etc. You MAY NOT use STOCKS AND/OR RENDERS ! You may use another program to create parts of your image i.e. Apophysis, Gimp, Incendia, Photoshop, etc. The majority of your image should be made in Paint.net. The use of other programs should be limited to the creation of textures and minor elements of your image. (Remember, Possum’s have a sixth sense about things like this, do don’t make me hunt you down. So with that in mind, special rule #5 is in effect for this competition ). OK we've made it through SAC #13, what does everyone want to have for the next theme? Here is the list so far..... cloud nebulae eclipse left behind COMPLETED UFO view from the pilote's seat (in the cockpit, alien or human craft) – in progress SAC 12 create a space station or Idea - space station orbiting a planet "2001 A Space Odyssey" like effect (when the spaceship is going across colorfull space distortion) InnerSpace: Show us what goes on in the space between atoms and their particles best space pic (enter what you think is your best piece, even if it's been posted on the forum) warp drive/ hyperspace Spacecraft's scraps / graveyard of ships destroyed The view from an alien prison cell of the alien sky out the window and part of the cell.

I'm so sorry to hear about you losing your mom. I'm sure she would have been honored by your jewels, they are so beautiful. Your artwork has come so far so quick. You really have the talent and I'm sure she is proud of you. Just remember you have friends here if you ever need someone to talk to. I love your first Sculptris piece! It's great ! The look on his face is brilliant. The landscape background is also really great. You are off to such a great start! I'm really excited to see what you come up with next. This is so cool to have someone else working in Sculptris too.

I've even been able to train some of them and am planning on starting a flea circus. I don't know why, but there is something about this program that brings out the inner wacko in me. It is totally fun for me to make these things. Being able to cut them out and manipulate them in Paint.net is just the best of both worlds.

If you need any help, let me know. It does crash quite a bit so make sure you save often. It doesn't hurt anything when it does. If it does crash and you have not saved it will ask if you want to recover/resume or something like that. You can then save it to replace the last saved file. I think you will have a lot of fun.
