  1. My 2 ยข, -If you are saving in JPEG file type, then you don't need to add the white layer, just center the image and save it. -If all scanned images have enough white edges and all need exactly the same alignment without rotation, then using Panelling plugin is the best choice ( if the quality is important), set the plugin once then press Ctrl+F for each image to repeat the same alignment effect, as Welshblue mentioned just. Of course you can use Layer Rotate/Zoom tool with Tiling acitvated or Composition tool as EER mentioned if retaining the orginal quality of saving file is not required/important.
  2. I like also the idea of the red clouds and the smog among the hills, that even make it worst, and also a hidden smile here. I like your Earthquake, it reveals the colored version of the vase which is so nice, the unfaded spot on the wall (painting location as metioned) puts lots of thoughts about the situation, wish the texture of the wall was also tilted to match the tilted walls. Great stuff Dug.
  3. Congrats Welshy, Ventor and Dug, great work everyone.
  4. That would be awesome. As long as we are in the Layer Properties subject, I have a question: Is it possible for PDN to prompt you for layer name whenever you add a new layer? Of course, it is a little anoying, if it doesn't have an option of "don't prompt me for layer name" Which is kind of Preferences which not supported in PDN.
  5. Oh, Nanette, that is so cute, i'm amazed by the quality of your work, as minners mentioned, great talent you have there.
  6. Came to say that I love your new sig, Really great work minners71, and so clever.
  7. Great, now the missing (8 pixels) is available, Open both parts in a big canvas size ( about 1568W x 1145H) each on it is own separate layer Put first image (Msuo2) to the left and second (8vla9) to the right side of the canvas ( use Align Object or Gravity plugins for this purpose) Then you will notice a dark line ( of one pixel) from top to bottom in the center, and that is related to the second image (left edge) Select that one pixel line, Copy it and Paste it in to new layer, then adjust its brightnes and contrast using Brightness/Contrast tool ( you may need to select small parts from the line and adjust them separately) Quick example
  8. You can remove the white line by making a rectangle selection of 3 pix from either sides of the line and stretch it to the other side to cover the line. but it will still show up because a stripe of an 8 pixels is already missing from the image.
  9. Use the Line/Curve tool with Dashes mode as Red Ochre mentioned, use brush of 5 pix width or more, then adjust the space/thickness of the dashes by Median Noise effect. Hint: for best result, work the lines/curves on a new transparent layer adjust it with Median Noise then apply AntiAlias to insure the background is transparent.
  10. Really didn't expect it, nice entries everyone, Thanks nitenurse, thanks everyone for participating and voting, and congrats Welshy and Ventor.
  11. Alpha Blur plugin also could bring back the erased edges in a nice smooth way, Hint: duplicate the layer once or twice after applying the Alpha Blur,
  12. I am not sure if I understood your question.! Try this: Open the face picture in a new layer over the texture layer, apply Toon Shader plugin, some Median Noise as desired then Emboss, Use Overlay mode on this layer and adjust the transparency as you like.
  13. I believe isn't possible in PDN: http://forums.getpai...fied-font-text/ http://forums.getpai...p-to-selection/
  14. @ StarDesignLady, Try "Circle Text" plugin from this pack, as EER suggested. http://forums.getpai...ack-2012-03-22/ http://forums.getpai...47-circle-text/ If you mean something else, then please give us more details.
  15. If I understood you correctly, then try the set no borders for cells in Excel: Highlight the cells range you need Right click in any highlighted cell and open "Format Cells" - Open Borders tab - In the "Line Arranegement" select "Set No Borders", (which is first option on the left) - Click OK Copy and Then Paste in to New Image in Paint.NET. Sorry my bad, that was actually for Open Office. What you need to do in Excel is to choose grid color same as the background sheet, if the "Show Gridlines" option doesn't work.
  16. Try this, add a new layer and fill it with black using Paint Bucket , then move this layer down, Flatten and Save As. Make sure to save as new name, so you keep the arginal file. Edit: sorry I meant original file. Also you can duplicate the top layer as much as you like for a better result if it needs.
  17. Just eliminate the confusion, you are mixing between DPI and DPCM "Dot Per Inch and Dot Per Centimetre" for printing. In Paint.NET UI windows I can't see the term DPI, it is just Resolution, that covers both (dpi & dpcm) So when you say 300 DPI then you are dealing with inches system and that equals 118.11 DPCM in metric system I know if I spend all my life trying to explain this I will fail, I am not a good teacher, sorry.
  18. Thanks WB. @greyraven8, bigger image gives much better quality, the text will affect very much because of the distortion. To retype the text, I search for free Carbon Black but couldn't find, so I will use yous even if it too small. In this case (your example text) I would use the Y as a keystone because it is in the center. EDIT: What I was trying to say is: I was trying to re-type the text to a bigger size, but I searched for the Carbon Block font ( sorry not Carbon Black) and I couldn't find a free version to download, But there is actually a free download, I was just mistaken by the name of the font, sorry again.
  19. Good idea Red Ochre, Boltbait plugin Transparency, I use it for same purpose.
  20. Great, I made that text using same plugin, divide your text in to two halves each on its own layer, and apply the plugin on each half, it is a little hard to explain but it is really easy to achieve, I can make a video of an example text you provide if you like.
  21. Seabed is very nice, the lighting is so good. And the roadsigns is nice to great put together images.
