  1. I'm always watching anime or playing video games to get my inspiration, so I went with a signature on one of my old favorite games (final fantasy, dont judge! hehe). Only stock used was the render. Render Font used was "Batangche" a default font in windows 7. Sig:
  2. @Barbieq25, coolio hehe. @Chrisco97, if you check back mind telling me how many layers your signature took? If you recall, Im only curious so not a big deal. EDIT: Hmm, no other posts for a while so figure I might as well ask for an opinion on a new banner. %100 PDN, Stone Butterfly:
  3. Woah, been a long while since I've posted here. I actually had to go searching to find the website. Well I'll be updating the gallery with my newest images in a few days or so, intend on taking all the old out and replacing it with my newest work. Glad to be back so thought I'd start off by posting a few of my recent signatures and a banner (may have already seen these, saving the newest works for the updated gallery so have patience and check back): %100 PDN, Stone Butterfly:
  4. I agree with you on the text, been a while and I wasnt even sure if I should put text on it (fear I'd mess up). Thanks for the opinions, trying to learn what I've forgotten means lots and lots of trial and error.
  5. Sort of like a cut-out, or sticker on a background. My opinion doesnt count for much as I havnt been studying design in a long while. However, I am currently getting back too it. So with that, thought I'd put up my newest signature and see if anyone has an opinion (btw, I'm using dual monitors, one is lcd and the other is an old desktop monitor. The difference in graphics is astonishing. On one screen it looks fine, the other made it look like a block of red. Just something to keep in mind.):
  6. And, for boredom's sake and a stroke of inspiration, a third one: Edit.
  7. 0 brushes, a few stock images but no c4ds.
  8. I dont really use brushes often but I definitely like the new sig. I prefer a more 'messy' canvas myself so keep it up! Hehe.
  9. Well, suppose it depends on opinion, I just don't see it as a bad thing exactly.
  10. Haha, thanks. Well I think I am having too much fun with the borders and monotone thing...so I'm adding another to the list (hehe). Well, I've seen worse, done worse, so I'm not too easy to complain:
  11. Hehe, well to each his own gentlemen. I actually had to look up the definition of monotone, and yes I can see that some of my signatures are in said category. Thanks for the comments, I usually like to take others opinions into account so as to improve my work so any criticism is rather welcome . Run-on sentence much.
  12. I've thought a lot about posting a signature tutorial but never really thought it was needed. If I get a few more requests I'll consider it but for now I'd suggest the tutorials forum, you can learn a lot from there. And gimp or photoshop tutorials, not the same tools but you can recreate the same with PDN and it shows you a broader way to use PDN.
  13. Possibly, I'll see what I can come up with and post back.
  14. Usually just blending the render with some stocks or c4ds and eventually I'll come up with a certain part I like. I'll copy that part and re size it as the background, then paste the same image at its original size over and over then set its blending mode to color doge or something and play with brightness/contrast. That's how I made the background for the 'Thoughts' signature. Notice how much of the background looks like its repeating its self? It was all just a piece of the background I liked so I added it over and over until it flowed as the background. Although this particular method does make it hard to make a signature look unique, so I added the highlights on the sig and the border with a new design. Thanks for the comments.
  15. I love your new hero signature, cant put together a fable signature to save my life haha. Should have read the first post hehe, answered my question
  16. Two new sigs added to the gallery (again). I'm starting to enjoy my designs more and more now, obviously what looks cool to me may not be true about the next person but I feel like I am getting better:
  17. Yup. Two new signatures today (enjoying the b&w effect): Edit: And a third (got bored):

  20. Well I quit using graphic design for a while but now I am back on track, updated the gallery with two new signatures but plan on adding more.
  21. Well I'll sure be looking forward to it. I use to make signatures all the time, did nothing else, and I'm honestly having a hard time producing even one decent sig. Guess it really isnt like riding a bike... Well I'm definitely going to be stopping by to see how the pro's do it .
  22. As for the validity... I vote neh. The flower and leaves have transparency around the edges, and I can still see some of the color from w/e photo he cut them out from. White on the flower, black on the leaves. Unless he can show a pdn file, or tell us how he did it, I simply cant agree that this is real.
