Ash, thanks for your instructions and time. Finally I got this hard head of mine screwed back on and found my problem. After making settings for the first cube, saving it to .Gif file, I was going back to the original cube and trying to rotate it. Solution was going back to "Flatten", Effects>Render>Shape3D and plugin remembered the last setting so I was able to rotate and save each time to a different .Gif file creating the animation. I was able to see all six pictures by going through the above loop/scenario. Here's the results....

Ash, thanks for replying to my Shape 3D topic. A. (1) I click on Box tab, then Cube Map is highlighted in blue (2) then left click on Dice Map, then next I see Full Sphere Map highlighted in blue and cube moves without me clicking on the Full Sphere Map. (3) then move mouse pointer back to Dice Map and click on it...cube moves. B. Shape 3D worked great the first time...no problems. C. Six pictures were imported, one on each area. D. Front view is good. Well, I can rotate but only see part of top and right side. Partial rotate and see only part of the left and rear which are blank, black and some white. Cannot rotate to bottom at all. E. Could there be a problem with the picture type? Below is the cube I'm working with now.....

The following cube with six pictures is my first, but, having problems with 2nd.... After I import six pictures, flatten and open the Shape 3D plugin, it defaults to the Sphere tab, I click on Box tab, Cube Map is highlighted, click on Dice Map and pointer falls to Full Sphere Map and seems to mess up everything. I finally get back to Dice Map and try to rotate the cube and can only see my front and right side picture. It will not show me the back, bottom, barely see top and other side. I've tried deleting, extracting and dragging Shape 3D dll back into Effects but with no luck. I've tried many different combinations but the cube will not hold together nor rotate for me. My first try was smooth and no problems. Could I be having a problem because it's my second try? I really like this tut and please help me with my problem.

ChitoDog, I did darken the lightning frames and I agree that I did get them to dark, will lighten them up. I tried to add many more "normal frames" between the lightning frames. Thanks for helping me.

Thanks ChitoDog for your comments. This has been an interesting and challenging tut for me. I did make the "lighting" layer too bright and will add in more "normal rain". I already see other pictures taken with our camera that I'm going to work on. Have a good day and thanks again.

I'm new to PDN and have a stack of tuts. that I've been working with and really enjoy the work of creating and how much everyone is helpful.

Does the distance look correct? I've tried different selections to get it closer to original image but can't. What is your response?

Expiration, I lucked-up some how on Ed Harvey Effects package for v3.3 update on 2008-04-14 and found the "Stretch" in his Dents. Downloaded and also found Weave which I've been looking for. But, now I have two Dents under Distort....so I'm ready to go. It had dawned upon me that the Pixels were = to Radius in mine. Thanks so much for your patience. I'll try not to be so much bother.

Thanks Expiration, I have PDN version 3.3.1 and do not have the "Stretch" tabs in Dents. Can you tell me where to download it? Also, I'm having a problem with the "Gaussian blur set at 1 or 2 pixels". When I click on Gaussian blur, I only see "Radius" option. I have Gaussian blur+ and the options are: Radius, Channel to blur and Blend Mode. Am I looking in the wrong place for the pixel settings? Thanks.

I've worked and worked with this tut. I've struggled learning and here's my nervous arrow moves and hard to click the mouse without sliding off. My tail is a little squiggley! but I tried. How do you make the "cresent thingy"?

pyrochild, I can't download the plugin package "Download from MediaFire" which has 12 listed plugins. I get to the "download to my files", click on it, and get a quick, flash message something about my user identity ...different browser and I'm logged into Paint.net, then get the message.."Working, please wait". It's only a 141.32 KB file size, I have Paint.net version 3.3, with high speed DSL and waited some 15 minutes and still seems it's not downloaded. How long should it take to download this ZIP file? Please help.
