Image Umbrella: Signatures, Avatars, Logos & Text
St.Jim replied to david.atwell's topic in The Pictorium
Wow, I'm liking the differnt layers of that image I think that you should do 1 messed layer and one normal and combine them. I've been expanding on my original image and made an ice and fire signature. (Well the colours are ice and fire) Ice like one Fire style one. Can you tell me which one you perfare and if I could do anything else to them? Thanks. -

Here is a logo/text for my website - I'm thinking of redesigning it for the new year or so. Can you tell me what you think? I used the smudge plugin for it - its great for messy looks. -
Excellent tutorial! It is well written and easy to follow (Like all your other tutorials ) Here is my try at it: New! Forget the Windows orb, think Windows square!

I've had a little look around for macro's (For mouse buttons') in the PDN search field. I didn't find any, so that's why I'm writing this... Ok, what I would like is for buttons on a mouse (Say buttons 3,4,5 e.t.c) to be available to macro in PDN. For example, If I am drawing a picture with Airbrush or whatever, and I OR, I could set a string of macro's to 1 key... So for example, flatten image, save image, undo (So it saves the file as XXX.png and gets you back to the place you were in before) Now, you may say that you could just use M, or P, or Shift + Ctrl + Y + P, to do these tasks, but wouldn't it be a bit easier to push a unused button to do a task for me? I would much appreciate it if this was taken up, as it would certainly speed up my PDN work

I second (well third) that! Look kind of retro or battered type of thing. Very good. Maby you could expand on it a little before writting a tut. (I mean this as put it into an image -like I don't know- some kind of grubby style image of some sort)This might be a bit better imho. -
Wow! My eyes-> That could not have been based on somewhere on earth what with all the polution... Definatly going on my Desktop wallpaper

Can a plugin be created in Visual basic - if so how?
St.Jim replied to St.Jim's topic in Plugin Developer's Central
OK, well kind-of, it was better in the fact that you could change the size of a brush by more than 3PX. I have the file here so you can try it out This is the last build that I am gonna do of it - because I know of no more code I can put in to make it better - and I have ruined the vb files http://cid-bb23b25e4e6df83f.skydrive.li ... ta%7C6.zip Just click download - don't worry - no virus' --But if you want to you can scan it to double check -
Yeah! That easter pic looks great! I could easily see it on one of those special cards and I would definately buy it. The background (sunrise type thing) looks realy nice I used a blue tinted matrix type image (like the green one i made) and tiled it on max settings - was originally supposed to be tiled (but was too small) still, it looks good.

Lol - programming sucks the life out of me... I rarther use a program than create one - dunno why I started VB - I tried to make a paint program and failed misaribly (still better than the program included in Windows ) There goes my Job at microsoft -
Thanks for the reply - nice marble effect and oma - I'm sure that your picture looks better than the real Gordon Brown anyday! Nice band logo I think it needs a little feathering: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=22819&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=feather This will make the edges a bit more smooth and natural. Here's annother one I made: (Guess what film I just watched?) P.S I was having trouble with uploading - so thats why my post is below yours.

VB.Net Effect Plugin Template (Indirect UI)
St.Jim replied to jchunn's topic in Plugin Developer's Central
To be honest, I don't think I will bother with VB (or any other Programing language for that matter ) as PDN is in defualt location and everything is as it is... -

Feel like uninstalling VB!!!!!!! Got this error - Error 1 The command "copy "C:\Users\James\AppData\Local\Temporary Projects\VB_PDN_Effect1\bin\Release\test.dll" "c:\program files\paint.net\effects\"" exited with code 1. VB_PDN_Effect1 WTF! - lol, i was just seing what the original effect would do (no modifications and it throws me an error!) Why does it do this? -
