  1. I remember we talked about this before as well Blooper, and yes, it's quite a shame. I like your new sigs, both of 'em. For whatever reason, I think your current is better, though the effects stand out more in your newer one.
  2. You might want to try the Conditional Hue/Saturation effectplugin. It's not quite what you were looking for, but it still gets the job done.
  3. Your buttons / other shiny things are looking pretty good - though the gloss has some serious aliasing issues ( or "jaggies" ). You can fix this in several ways: 1. When you first make the button, create it at a canvas size of 200% of what your final will be. Then, after you have finished everything off, resize it to 50%, and your lines should be smoother. 2. Try playing with the Feather plugin 3. Try playing with the Alpha Mask plugin (more advanced) Keep up the good work.
  4. It doesn't quite work because the foreground and background are two different styles. The backgrounds you use are typically stocks, or at least, they appear to be. The foregrounds, however, are line art - type of images. To make the two genres blend better, I would either incorporate some stock into the foreground, or some line art into the background.
  5. Make sure you use a more descriptive thread title when asking questions: generic "help" can get very confusing. Like Simon said, Cone stamp will be your best option, however if you want to be able to modify the parts that you copy, I would actually use the tool on a separate layer, after having Alt-Clicked on the layer you want to take the images from. Hope what I said makes sense

  7. I love the first and second, excellent job!
  8. Hey man, as long as you're adding artwork updating your thread placement is fine
  9. Gamespot article comment about win7 and Paint.NET: http://www.gamespot.com/features/6203259/p-2.html Doesn't really count, but still - it's a sighting
  10. Thanks Oma, I tried responding last night but the connection kept timing out. Now I understand how you got those shapes, I think it'll come useful in the future. Thanks again for all your help, Nab
  11. Well, basically, how did you distort the spheres (head, body, etc.) so that they weren't spheres? I've tried a couple and they haven't worked. It looks similar to one of Madjik's works.
  12. What distort did you run on the sphere to create the wavy look? And then you just duplicated and flipped horizontally, right? I like the highlights. Funny pic
  13. Glad you like it Jedi, thanks for the compliment.
  14. You over-complicate things, LFC was the basic idea, and after different adjustments (Curves +, etc.) that style was achieved. I don't have the patience to go through and smudge the entire canvas like that
  15. The thing with Alpha mask is that it either turns black or white to Alpha. I think this is according to the color's luminosity. So if you have a dark blue color, and you run Alpha Mask, it will make it almost completely transparent. However, if you paint a light blue color, it won't be affected quite as much. You're not just manipulating the color black and white - but its luminosity throughout the picture. This is all just a guess, but it seems to work for me
  16. Thanks cazaron, for the compliment, and the sig quote
  17. That's a very cool effect - nice and wispy - did you use smudge? This would fit very well in a spacescape.
  18. Thank you - I'm still thinking it's pretty horrible but your kind words help anyway --Not quite finished is all...
  19. Hehe, you've gotta do what you've got to do I guess... I can't think of any other alternative. Anyway - the edges aren't too bad - I think the strawberry itself is what people look at anyway, so you've done an excellent job.
