  1. alright, I've been doing the hair in layer so I can keep it more realistic and not crappy looking Is that Tidus from FFX? 'cause if that is, that's spot on.
  2. Oh really? Again I refer to one of my work which used my Cheesey eye tut. LOL! It's easy to knock something when you don't realize it's full potential. Anyways I've been up a little late tonight working on this (100% PDN trying to get away from stock images, .pdn available): Click for the full 1024x768 at my deviant art Hopefully I'll have more soon, my deviant art account is looking pretty scarce. @Oma: you rock!
  3. that definitely seems like a better idea, but would that upgrade existing plugins? or would that require a restart?
  4. Thats the same exact flourish I used in my sig and ava lol.
  5. True, I could careless most of the time if a post was all pdn anyways, you can tell most of the time anyways unless it was ash etc.. from reading the earlier posts though people were making a big fuss about it, so I thought I drop my two cents in. Quit fast posting! There isn't enough room for two people posting this quick at one time.
  6. Yeah it is a little advanced, but it's always good to let someone know the majority of the options available to them so they might learn a little something extra, instead of giving them the absolute easiest route. I guess I shouldn't bombard people though huh? See David Atwell, See Him Mod See Him move topics! Awesome.
  7. Rick has spoken, hence forward this aggravation will be known as "OWNED!"
  8. personally I like to layer and blend when it comes to the sky, modifying whats already there is fine and all, but you can really add a lot of depth by adding some overlays or multiply layers, mmmm layer goodness.
  9. Yes previous posts have explained that while on the mod only boards the mods were having fondue parties.... I've never benn invited to a fondue party, sad really... Instead of the previously mentioned mandatory .pdn submission, why not have people submit a couple of screenshots showing some of the process they used to verify that it was done in paint.net?
  10. Argor Brush I think it may be spelled a little different, I can tell you for sure in a couple of hours when I get home from this class.
  11. I don't think that was messed up skin as much as a wayward attempt at shadows under the hair, a little bit of editing with curves + and a transparent gradient to fade it out would work wonders.
  12. D.C.: not as polished as oma, but nice none the less. Teaches: Nice effect that would definintely come in handy making nav links or wallpapers. Here is a little something I worked on last night, I've got the pdn if anyone is interested, pretty straight forward stuff though. Click for bigger resolution at my deviant art page This was about a six layer job when all was said and done, been following my recent cutout effects type work, the flourish and the subtle texture were both stock images and can found here: http://www.judithreephotography.com/ima ... sh_big.gif and http://ryane.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/rock_03.jpg. I made the fleur di lis's with the line tool and copied and rotated to make the crosses then there was a lot of copying and pasting. all the blend modes are set to either multiply or overlay with a little drop shadow in a nice rustic orange.
  13. wow -1 innocent, kinda harsh, obviously if he posted that he thought it was worthwhile enough to post, constructive criticism is always awesome, but straight downing someone isn't so much. I think the colors need some work but it's a cool concept, I would've gone a little simpler as far as the design, of course I like simple designs lol. (Yes, I realize that was one incredibly long run-on sentence.)
  14. Thank you edharvey I'll be checking this out tonight, feedback soon!
  15. if you say so, technique and design are always present right? keep it up! and keep it simple!
  16. any as long as they are readable, omg that is my biggest complaint, I'm always dup'ing my layers and adding some contrast.
  17. Awesome, they didn't really mention the plugin functionality though which would have explained the fact that most of the functionality of photoshop they said paint.net lacked could be provided. Good mention though.
  18. Mastriani thats awesome pyro has got a point, welcome to the non conformist sheep club lol, nice work man I like it, striking.
  19. Hmm this would be a nice plugin if you could edharvey, my dad is color blind and it would be curious to get an approximation of what he sees.
  20. Oh, I know them.. Here added + and -, and edit the color abit awesome battery
