  1. Hey it took me a minute to get back to reading this post but heres my shot at the battery: It was a minute or two before i figured out how to get the different colored portions to lineup correctly I'm not to familiar with shape 3d yet. It looks good, accept for the colors.. Maybe I make some examples like your Image, only in other colors. I was going for those cheap batteries that are included with things like remotes lol.
  2. Look here, I had to recreate it, I forgot to save as a pdn last night. http://derekablackburn.googlepages.com/help.zip

  4. Your stuff is always interesting, I have to check out the kalediscope plugin.
  5. I made the text layer copied it inverted the color guassian blurred it twice then duplicated it about eight and merged all the white layers to make a thick outline, I copied that zoom blurred the copied played with the curves then copied the zoom blur layer and color tinted it red zoom blurred again and then played with the curves again, and so on. I can send you the pdn.
  6. I was taking about your avatars and so on, I like the whole tavern theme lol. Topic?
  7. Gimp is alright, I would actually be more inclined to use it if it had the killer userbase paint.net does, you guys are too cool.... but really gimp just doesn't feel right, switching between colors and not being able to use the right mouse button to erase, color, etc.. bites.
  8. Lol I said If I wasn't mistaken, which I was but I'm not here to argue semantics. I totally agree with your suggestions I just think it was a bit much for a noob to take in, as far as suggesting the feather plugin I just think it's a good starting point for people new to paint.net to acclaimate themselves with image integration, it wouldn't have been the most polished image afterwards but it would be a learning step, the other plugins were somewhat of an intermediate step but totally right on especially since he didn't have even the feather plugin installed. Y'know, but thats neither here nor there. LOL. Love your work by the way.
  9. Myridden that was a lot of information for someone that didn't know where the feather plugin was lol. By the what version of paint.net are you using whereas you are having trouble finding the plugin? If im not mistaken it's included with the latest releases.
  10. Thats awesome I dual boot ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy (a debian based distro) and I've been stuck using gimp and inkscape (for my vector graphics). I would love to use paint.net in linux!
  11. Try alt-f4, no just kidding, this has been covered all over the place but what it boils down to is select the picture you want to insert copy it, paste into the other picture as a new layer. Any transparencies in the top layer will allow you to see the layers under it. Try reading through the forums and the help files next time though.
  12. I was looking through the tutorials and I found the poker set shape 3d tut, figure i'd try it out with my own little twist. All I've got to say is "I got deathstars" lol.
  13. absolutely stunning ASH! did you use 3d plugin ? I've also been working on more realistic skin tones. mine is totally paintbrush, gassiaun blur and transparency changes. this is my work in progress OMA that's fantastic, albeit time consuming I would think.
  14. Well it's been a couple of months... but I'm back How's it going everyone I'm back after a little bit of a hiatus. I'm starting this round of submissions with a little photo manipulation, btw nice heroes mod aile. Here is my stock image: and here is the manipulated version: I added the cat in kind of last minute it just seemed to fit. I haven't tried half of the new plugins out now so if any of y'all have any suggestions fire away. I'm happy with the overall feel but I think it could have been a little darker.
  15. I'm back after a little hiatus ahem, well like months actually. but whatever. Expect the goodness in about an hour or two.
  16. I've been working my butt off at work, I'm an aspiring chef in a manner of speaking and I've been pouring over recipes for work, pan seared tuna crusted in sesame etc.., and on top of that I just start back school for computer networking and programming ack!
  17. Hey Jake what font is that your using and on the sides of the text did (which I'm guessing would be the 3d layer from your tut) how did you get it to look so "soft"?
  18.
