  1. When you delete a selection, it makes pixels in the selection White with zero opacity.

    As in (255, 255, 255, 0)

Your code is looking for Black with zero opacity.

    As in (0, 0, 0, 0)

You may just want to ignore the Color and just check the opacity. Or are the color channels important in your script?

I think with scrollbars there's a standardized contract between software developer and end user where essential information is supposed to be conveyed regarding the bounds of the content and the current view.  This is a very, very long-standing GUI tradition for good reason.

Overscroll is a standard feature in Photoshop, GIMP, Inkscape, Krita, CorelDRAW, and even Visual Studio.

In graphics programs, the bounds are not limited to the canvas, but include the whole workspace. This is not breaking "GUI tradition" or HID.

The scrolling in paint.net had actually been non-standard until the current version.

Rick has stated he'll provide an option to disable overscroll in next version.

  3. A Material Design plugin? What would such a plugin do? Create prototype mockups or something?

If you're wanting a plugin to give paint.net a custom Material Design UI, a plugin can't do that.

Even Google says to use a platform's own design language. https://youtu.be/iJDoxOTyMdk?t=3237

...since it's free it closer resembles open source...

Paint.net hasn't been Free Software or Open Source for a number of years now. It is freeware.

  4. Things I like:

    - The improved notification system

    - custom Activity Views. and the option the set a custom view as my default.

    - The attachment UI is available on quick reply

    - I can easily see my recent posts by going to my profile. (or another user's)

    Issues:
    - Broken BB code: Donate, Table, Hide
    - No ads on the forum
    - I can create polls
    - Have to be logged in to download attachments (such as plugins)
    - I can see who's online and users' profiles when not logged in.

    Other Thoughts:
Maybe do something about the Announcements module at the top of every page.
Announcements could be very useful, so removing it completely probably isn't the best. However, I don't want see them after I've read them. Does IPB have an option for users to dismiss Announcements?

Can we get a 'Plain Text'/'View BB Code' mode on the editor, please? I don't want to resort to writing a Greasemonkey script to hack around it.

  5. Tried installing MS .NET Framework several times, but receive the message: .NET Framework 4.6.1 or a later update is already installed on this computer.

Ok, if it won't let you reinstall on top of the existing installation, the next logical thing to try is to completely uninstall the .NET Framework, and then install it again.

I still don't know why I wasted my time uploading the original.

    LOL.

It's not about the photo itself. People like to see what changes were made compared to the original photo.

Are people more likely to vote for you if you've made many changes rather than very few? Who knows... Personally, I vote based on the finished entry.

It's also good to give credit if it's a third-party photo. Some third-party photos are under a license that requires attribution, where you have to link to the original (or just mention the source/author in some cases).

Even if it's a public domain image, it's good to give credit.
