  1. You're welcome. Glad I could help. Does anyone know (Not to be a pain), if there's any chance of getting support for 512 icon sizes in this plugin? I use this plugin ALL the time and love it and was kind of hoping this could be added. Is this plugin still actively developed? Thanks Again for all of the hard work that went into this great plugin.
  2. You're probably using an icon image that's too small. For example on screens with high resolutions, or desktop icons where you have not included a large enough size. An .ico file contains various images for different uses. 16, 24, 32, 48, 128, 256, (And now 512) are the common sizes... You need to include all of the sizes in the final file that you intend to use. Which is why I'm hoping they will add support for 512, as that has now become necessary...
  3. Hello, first, I wanted to say that I love this plugin. I use it a lot. I was wondering though if there was a chance we could get support for 512 X 512... It seems like 256 isn't quite big enough for Windows 8 and my icons are starting to look a bit choppy... Thanks.
  4. I did do a search, however all it seemed to return were equally "helpful" responses like this... The lack of "help" has made search much less useful. Thanks for investing the time in "assuming" I didn't look, and typing up a cocky response.
  5. Hi everyone, I've been using Paint.Net for quite a while now, but I've never seen a way to do this. I was wondering if there was a way to add fonts to Paint.Net. I have some font files, and I would like to be able to use them in Paint.Net projects. Thanks for the answers.
  6. This is a really cool plugin... I really like this a lot. Thanks!
  7. Wow, this looks pretty cool. It appears to be rather complicated though... I'll definitely play around with it some more here, but I'm not really sure what these values mean... :?
  8. Hi, this is a really cool plugin. It seems to me that it would be one of the most handy plugins available IMO. I was wondering though it it was possible for it to do the following (And maybe there's a setting that I'm missing). 1) Have it expand the canvas size when it mirrors things. If it's 20 X 20, it would then be 40 X 40. 2) Is it possible to perform a half drop with this plugin? This would be TREMENDOUSLY helpful. I don't know if everyone knows what a half drop is, but it can be looked at like a 5 domino, where each dot is an image. Thanks Again for a really cool plugin (Among others).
  9. Thanks, I saw that. I was hoping for something that didn't just turn the eyes black... Thanks Again though.
  10. Is there a plugin or technique that I can use for removing Red Eye from photos? I can't seem to figure this out without screwing up the rest of the image... Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Again,
  11. This should do the job for you EDIT: Since I got this update, I can't use any brush used in a specific colour. (In other words, the colour function isn't working for me!) Thank you very much. I knew how to install plugins, but couldn't for the life of me find the CustomBrushes from within Paint.NET... I found them now though... lol Also, I downloaded the GIMP brushes, and noticed the the following ones are blank. Did I do something wrong? Here are the blank ones: flower01 flower02 flower03 flower04 snow1 splat1 splat2 strange01 weave Thanks. This is a really cool plugin.
  12. I'm sorry for this VERY stupid question, but do I put this plugin in my Effects Folder? Where do I find it from within Paint.NET? I have read through much of this thread, and didn't see where to install this to, etc. (Unless I missed it somewhere)... Thanks,
  13. OMG, thank you sooooooo much... I couldn't remember that combo for the life of me, and was trying everything... lol Thanks Again,
  14. This is a silly question (I know...), but I saw a while back that there was a shortcut key that I could press when clicking on a color in an image with the Magic Wand and it would select all pixels of that color... I've since forgotten, and when I searched, couldn't find it again... Could someone refresh my memory? lol Thanks Again,
  15. Thank you all very much for your responses. I haven't found another fix for this, so I guess what I posted earlier is the best fix for those experiencing this Windows issue. Thanks Again,
  16. O.K., thanks. I have Windows XP though. Now that I think about it I do *vaguely* remember such an option... Though I have no idea where it could have gone to... *sigh* Thanks Again,
  17. Thank you very much for your response. I don't have a "Refresh Thumbnails" option, and the "Refresh" option doesn't do anything... :? Did I lose that option too? LOL
  18. O.K., I did find a fix (Though not ideal if you have a lot of files in this folder...). But if anyone else is having this problem, you can go into Folder Options > View and check "Do Not Cache Thumbnails". It slows opening of the file down a bit, but at least the thumbnails work... Applying this setting, then going back in and unchecking this setting and applying that setting again reverts the thumbnails back to the wonky settings, so I'm not sure why that would be (Or where Windows saves thumbnails anyway...). I'm still open to ideas, and if I find something better I will post back. Thanks.
  19. hahaha, yeah, I suppose it is... lol Is it something that is correctable? I am searching the net, but haven't found anything about this just yet. If I find anything I will definitely post back in case anyone else needs the fix.
  20. Well, at least it's not just me... LOL I figured it was a problem with Windows, but I haven't seen this with any other file type, so it struck me as... odd? It was really a shock, because I go based on thumbnails more than file names, so I clicked on a thumbnail, and something else oppened... haha I was scared I'd overwritten something I needed... Does anyone know of a way to correct this? Refresh the thumbnails? Where does Windows save that anyway? Thank you very much for your response.
  21. This is a REALLY weird thing... I can't for the life of me figure it out. This used to work great, but I just noticed today that when I open the folder that I save all of my .pdn files in, all the thumbnails are "shuffled" around... The thumbnail of one will actually be a different file, etc. Has anyone else noticed this? It's really quite strange... Thanks,
  22. Thank you for your posts Crazy Man Dan, they were very informative. I realize that nothing is ever truly "simple", but I think that something is really needed to better integrate plugins with the Paint.NET application. I don't know what Rick's thoughts or plans are with reference to something like this, and would be very interested in knowing. I think at some point (Preferably sooner rather than later), something like this will be needed, as the number of available plugins grows. As it stands it can be a bit overwhelming for a newbie to sort through all of the available plugins. Perhaps users could even rate the plugins similar to how users can rate Add-ins for Firefox on that site? I am very interested by everyones thoughts and ideas. This has developed into a very interesting discussion.
  23. That would be absolutely incredible. I REALLY hope something like that can be done in the future. I think it would make adoption of Paint.NET by newbies MUCH, MUCH, easier. Thanks Ash for putting together that website. I didn't know about it before this. It is very helpful. There should be something like that on the Paint.NET website as an easy reference of all plugins and what they do.
  24. This would be a cool plugin. I can see a lot of uses for this. I'm not sure of the technical issues though...
  25. Yeah, I realize that. Maybe there's a better way of doing things? I mean, Mozilla is clearly a larger project than Paint.Net, but maybe hosting could be arranged? I don't know. That would be great. And maybe it could even check for updates to plugins as well. As it stands I never know if I'm using the newest version. Once I find a plugin I usually can't find it's thread again... lol
