  1. No I just wanted to rule out memory leaks in Word2007 or Paint.NET thats all.
  2. When in task manager go to processes and look at word 2007 memory usage along with Paint.NET memory useage. Do not do any work in any of them. Does the memory useage stay the same, go up and down, or just keep going up ?
  3. So it works untill you open Word 2007 and even after you close Word 2007 it still does not work. Sounds like Word 2007 is still in memory after it was closed. Not sure if anyone else has that problem but you may be able to reinstall Word 2007 and see if the problem goes away.
  4. What apps are taking up the most CPU and memory ? Maybe some other program is hogging more then it should.
  5. Can you move all images from that folder into another folder and then try the save as to rule out load time of thumbnails or a bad image file.
  6. Do you have DivX installed ? What folder is save as trying to see when the dialog box opens ? Find that folder and move any movie files in that folder to a new folder. I had this problem before and it had to do with DivX trying to show video files as tumbnails.
  7. Wow I did not know that. never even came to my mind to test it when I 1st did the tutorial for boot cds. I will have to look into this sometime and add that note to the tutorial. Who knows I may be the reason some people have printing problems :?.
  8. Did you try repairing the .NET Framework ? Did you run the Paint.NET repair tool ?
  9. Killer93yo that very disrespectful. I do not highjack your tutorials and repost them as my own in the same topic so don't do it to me. Also this tutorial I made was for fonts that will WORK with Paint.NET (TrueType).
  10. %appdata% gives me this: C:\Documents and Settings\HITMAN-X-\Application Data %LOCALAPPDATA% does not work ? It may not work as I did a format on friday and reinstalled Windows but I don't know.
  11. Ok that .NET Framework 2.0 or higher right ? ( David beat me to it ) You try repairing .NET Framework and Paint.NET ? Have you looked at this topic on installing and uninstalling errors and fixs ?
  12. Just to add to Rick post on the path. If your not sure of your user name which is needed in the path were it says your user name. You could use this %appdata%/Paint.NET as your path. BTW: Rick is Paint.NET folder in Application Data only made when there is a crash log ? As I don't have Paint.NET in there at all and I am wondering if it because I never had a crash with 3.30.
  13. Did you unistall the .NET Framework ?. Paint.NET needs the .NET Framework to run, install, and uninstall.
  14. This is from the FAQ posted by Rick. (1) Will it ever be ported to Mac OS, Linux, or any other operating system? (2) What about Mono support? Wouldn't that be really easy? May 19th, 2006 Update: Miguel de Icaza has an interesting blog post about porting Paint.NET to Mono: http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2006/May-19.html December 16th, 2006: Miguel de Icaza has posted more information about Paint.NET and Mono: http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2006/Dec-16-1.html As Rick has said before he is a Windows programer and has a lot of work to do for Paint.NET for the Windows side. I can't speak for Rick or the other developers of Paint.NET but I got a feeling that they are going to stay with Windows as there work load is already high.
  15. viewtopic.php?p=169546#p169546
  16. I am to sure what the problem is for a fact but I think I may know why your cashing when you go to rotate. Guessing your video card is onboard as your crash log has a odd number for RAM meaning that your on board video card or some other hardware is using part of your RAM. If not then you got some bad RAM. However Paint.NET needs 256 MB of RAM Minimum. You only got 247 MB (odd number again) RAM. So I am guessing when you go to rotate it needs more RAM to do that and it not getting enough for it.
  17. System Info ? Also make sure you have .NET Framework 2.0 or higher on your system.
  18. Huh I not to sure about that also David. I install Paint.NET all the time on many systems. I say this year alone I have installed Paint.NET over 80 times and everytime I unziped it and ran the exe it just installed. It never did see the exe unzip it self and run a 2nd exe. Did you download Paint.NET from http://www.getpaint.net/download.html ?
  19. Sending error reports will not fix the error. It just adds help to people who get the error report. I would say to Rick but I don't know what send error report you got. I thinking you got the default MS one that sends the error report to MS and not to Rick. When Paint.NET crashs it likes to make an error log. Post the error log here or error message you get. You can also try a repair of Paint.NET and the .NET Framework if the problem has only just started (Meaning it work find till now on that version).
  20. I am sorry can you be a more clear. I think I got part of what your asking but not all of it. Alos did you look at this topic pinned at the top of the page ? Topic about Plugin Problems
  21. G11 / G15 (If you got the money). I use my G11's 52 programmable macro keys. Even the cheaper and smaller keyboards of the G11 and G15 could be of help for you.
  22. There is always a few post about installing problem when Paint.NEt comes out with an update. It just some people are unformiliar with installs, unstalls and the .NET Framework.
  23. not that I know of but if you want to do them in order then go ahead as that how I would do them. 1.1 should not matter as Paint.NET uses 2.0 and higher.
  24. odd I know it does not sound like a big deal for it to be saying 1023 and not 1024 but it could be signs of bad memory. I not going to worry to much about it as it not a big number gone. I will just take it as 1 MB not getting added for some reason. Try repairing the .NET Framework and then installing Paint.NET.
