  1. I just download the font and I installed it without any problems. I also tested it in Paint.NET and it works fine. There to files to install one is Manga Speak and the other is Manga Speak Bold. You can select them both during the install. PS: You may want to keep that check box checked.
  2. Are you loged in as the admin. If not you will not be allow to install systems files such as fonts. Which would explain the whole password protected thing.
  3. No this is not the right place as it not a bug. You will find what your looking for here viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2023 However before you run of to read that you should read this 1st viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3446 as it will save you a lot of grief.
  4. You will find a tutorial I did here: viewtopic.php?p=56495#p56495 It was for cd's but it will work on jump drives as well.
  5. To add to Ash post. viewtopic.php?p=52345#p52345 Thats a link to the Plugin however I got a feeling Ash left that out as he wants you to become more familiar with Search. I could be wrong though.
  6. hmm did you delete Paint.NET before or anything like that ? You got Paint.NET installed right ? or are you trying to install it and getting this error.
  7. English, please, except in the Localization forum. Da hast du recht = There you are right I think he was just spaming some german to try to be funny.
  8. No your right there is a new version out. You may have checked for updates before the update was fully put up for the Paint.NET updater.
  9. He also wants the other system specs. RAM: CPU: Hard Drive: Video Card: If you don't know what they are then go into My Computer > Right Click anywere in the white space > Click Properties. On the tab General there should be a part with computer and under that you will see your CPU and RAM.
  10. Try repairing or uninstalling and reinstall the .NET Frameworks
  11. Oh ok thanks BB. Oh and I can't forget my good pal David for making me feel like an idiot . ya I know a few who do call them that so I didn't know for sure as I am new to tablets and this be my 1st one. Good price and I still can't belive I got by with out one. Anyway thanks for letting me know. BTW: Thats not a dig back at you to be mean David. I just joking around with ya. I got a feeling you know that however but I know how my wording can be at times.
  12. Ya I know thats a long title but I don't know how else to put it. Ok let me fill you in on what's going on and don't worry it's not bad. I got a tablet (Wacom Bamboo) for my up coming B-Day on May 6 and installed it today to play with it. So been having some fun with it and I remebered seeing an area in the Paint.NET crash log that says "Tablet PC:" and wanted to see if it works. So I forced Paint.NET to crash (This is why I said it not so bad as it not a ramdom crash) and then went to the crash log on my desktop. I looked at the Tablet PC: part and it said No next to it instead of Yes. I was using my tablet at the time to draw on the canvas. So this is were I need Clearification as many people call normal usb tablets tablets pc's. Should Paint.NET have seen my tablet or does it only see computers that have build in tablets.
  13. I just got myself one for my B-Day coming up. I just got done with installing the new drivers from there website 5.08 as they ship the BAMBOO's out with 5.05 on them. You may want to updateyour drivers if you have not already. As for sensitivity go to Start > All Programs > Pen Tablet > Pen Tablet Properties On that screen you will find an option for it. I think it's called tip feel.
  14. I see :?. Well this just brings me back to video cards as there no reason I should be able to do that and not you if we both have the same OS and the same amount of RAM. I got a 7900 GTX OC video card with 512MB of memory. Could Paint.NET be using the video card memory for the size of the image and the effects ?
  15. What are you copying from ?, I belive some programs you copy from have problems pasting in Paint.NET. There was an error like this before. Let me go find it. viewtopic.php?p=105707#p105707 I hope that can help you .
  16. Well I asked them questions because the error code you got is: No application is associated with the specified file for this operation.
  17. @David: I got XP Pro 32-bit and 4 GB of Dual Channel ram. Windows only see's 3.25 GB on my system (Linux see the 4 GB). Any way I go to File > New and create an image size of 8192x8192. I get the image on my screen without the "out of memory error". So I drawn some lines with the pen tool, then do the clouds effect, and then the twist effect. Once the twist effect starts PDN crashs. The log says out of memory. This text file was created because Paint.NET crashed. Please e-mail this file to paint.net@hotmail.com so we can diagnose and fix the problem. EDIT: Did some more testing doing the same steps as before with only OS processes and Paint.NET running. I keeped the task manager open. Ram went from 381 MB to 1.14 GB when I made the image. When doing the same steps as before my Ram went up to 1.16 GB and stayed at that till PDN crashed were it then went back down to 381 MB. The only thing that was really going nuts was the CPU which was going from 0 - 100 for both cores when doing the steps. So if it only using 1.16 GB why is it crashing with an out of memory error.
  18. I not sure what your full system specs are but I do know 4GB or more may not be seen as 4GB or more by the OS. EG: XP 32-bit only see's 3.25 GB were as XP 64-bit see's the 4 GB. However the number you gave was 768 MB. So for an XP system that should be no problem as the OS would not be a memory hog. In vista however that could be a problem if Vista is using over 2 GB. Vista asks for 1 GB min. Now we could also go into video memory but I am not sure how much Paint.NET relays on that. More detail on system please.
  19. Are you logged in as an Admin ? Is Paint.NET still in the same folder that it was installed in ?
  20. You said it only happens when Word2007 is open and closed on your computer. I still think it a Word2007 problem and we will ever know unless you uninstall Word2007. Run Paint.NET without it and then reinstall Word2007 and run Paint.NET with it.
  21. lol which is why I said "Now go play with it and see what you can really do with it." .
  22. That what I was hinting at. You pull of the same effect that the tutorial maker did then you learned a new technique. Now go play with it and see what you can really do with it.
  23. The whole point of making a tut is so people can learn get the exact same effect. The reason steps are missing is because some of the tut makers write there tut's and don't go back over them to make sure they did not miss anything. As for asking by PM is not the best way. It better to ask in the topic so others can benefit from the information as well.
  24. If you have not installed any fonts then don't worry about it. how you would know though is to use the text tool and then go to the font box and run up and down the list. If Paint.NET crashs then you have a bad font. If it slows down then you may have to many fonts. Again don't worry about this one if you never installed any fonts.
  25. Well I am just shooting in the dark here but lets try some common things. (Still say reinstall Word 2007 as it wont hurt) Try a defrag of your computer. Do a Disk Cleanup Delete files in %TEMP% Turn off memory hogs like Northen, AIM, ect. Check for Virus You get this problem when using fonts in Paint.NET. Go up and down the font list to make sure you got no bad fonts.
