  1. The view outside my office... Took this picture 2 months ago. The clouds looked so cool I couldn't help but take a picture. 8) The only thing I had to do in Paint.NET was resize to 1024x768. No other editing was necessary.

  5. Please don't SHOUT (in your subject title), its rude. Second, when you do a reduction, do it all at once. You will have worse results if you reduce it in 20% steps down to your desired resolution.

  8. Silentman, 1 graphic per sig and it must be 500x100 or smaller. Your current sig is too tall.

  10. Polygon is in the Effects > Render sub menu... Feather is in the Effects > Blurs sub menu... Check there.
  11. Well, the sizes look right. Hmmm... I'm stumped. BTW, Color Balance shows up in the Adjustments menu, not in the Effects menu. Did you check there?
  12. What sizes (in bytes) are some of the dll files? (Right click on the dll and choose properties.)
  13. Find the effect dll files in explorer. Right click on a file that is not working and choose "Properties" from the menu. On the general tab, at the bottom, look for an "Unblock" button. Click it. Click the Apply button or the OK button. Restart Paint.NET and see if the effect shows up.

  15. Well, you don't actually open plugins. All you need to do is copy them into your C:/Program Files/Paint.NET/Effects folder.
  16. The layer window works like this: When a layer is selected and you click the button to make it invisible, the next lowest layer that is visible becomes selected. (I wish it didn't do that, but it does.) When a layer is not selected and you click the button to make it invisible, the selection does not change.

  18. I think Rick means to say that each color component is 8 bits: Red 8, Blue 8, Green 8, Alpha 8 = 24 bit + alpha
  19. What version of Paint.NET are you running? Yeah, I had a feeling...
  20. At this point, you could do the following: - Press Ctrl-I to invert the selection - Press Del to delete the outside part Save the picture in PNG or GIF format.
  21. SilverIce, you could get that person's art taken down by direct linking to it. It is against dA policy to direct link art.
