Doing an engineer alphabet

Magic Wand and Shift-Click the black area. Ctrl+I to invert the selection. Del key. -
Remake, sometimes the blending mode will look different based on the colors on each layer (sometimes they may look the same) and also which layer is on top.

@Rick Brewster the build of CodeLab posted above is not compatible with your latest build of Paint.NET. Running it gives the following error: @toe_head2001 is trying to read EnableOpacity which is now marked internal. We read this to see if that option is enabled in the Paint.NET settings. Options? EDIT: BTW, we're not the only plugin reading this property.

HP Printer refuses to print in color

First, we don't support MS Paint. This forum is for the free image editor Paint.NET which is a completely different program. Second, that image isn't a .jpg image. I believe it is in .webp format... I had no trouble editing that image with Paint.NET at all. Maybe try Paint.NET for your image editing needs? It's way better than MS Paint.

HP Printer refuses to print in color
BoltBait replied to SolihullRog's topic in Troubleshooting & Bug Reports
On the print screen, click "Options", then on the options screen click "Printer properties". You'll need to change the "Print in grayscale" option to "off". -
You could try this plugin as well: https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/15386-metallize

If not possible to increase the size of the window, perhaps he could increase the size of the drop-down area.

Yes, I agree. There's something going on there. I'm going to have to have @Rick Brewster look into it. I might be mishandling alpha values or something. Just know that the algorithm that I'm using is COMPLETELY different from the old effect. There are going to be differences. Hopefully it is something that can be lived with. I think the old algorithm gave too much priority to the dark areas--I corrected that for the new algorithm. The difference between the hard edges and soft edges is the type of blur used. Maybe there's a clue there. But, I agree, there is something wrong there. If the shadow was smooth, I'd say you'll just have to accept that. But, the shadowing looks like there's some type of crosshatch going on. I will investigate. Thanks for compiling the screenshots!

Expand/Contract Selection (Feature Request)
BoltBait replied to Hidetoshi6721's topic in Paint.NET Discussion and Questions
What is the purpose of expanding or contracting the selection? Perhaps there is already a plugin which performs that task. I know that I have several in my plugin pack for Paint.NET v5.0a that you can try. -
paint.net 5.0 alpha (build 8361) -- Welcome to Paint.NET 5.0!
BoltBait replied to Rick Brewster's topic in Preview Center
This is HUGE and seem to be often asked over the years. Check out my new plugin pack. A couple of them actually do this. (Object > Apply Mask and Object > Alpha to Gray) -
