  1. I wonder if it is an over zealous virus scanner software that's preventing access to Paint.NET...
  2. Bevel has always used black and white as default colors. Perhaps you just need to lower the Strength slider.
  3. Oops! Forgot to update the version number of the updater! Fixed. Thanks for the report.
  4. I have updated the Effects > Artistic > Dream plugin to make the vignette optional. I also added the Effects > Photo > Sharpen Classic plugin to the pack. Changed Temperature/Tint slider in Effects > Photo > Combined Adjustments to be integers with the range of -100 to 100. Check the download in the first post of this thread. More updates coming...
  5. I think what you're looking for is the Effects > SELECTION > Outline Selection plugin. Select the letters and set the Location drop-down to "Outside selection". Hope this helps!
  6. The Photo > Sharpen effect was rewritten for Paint.NET v5.0 and several people have requested the old sharpen effect back. So, here it is: This is the "classic" (pre v5.0) version of Photo > Sharpen. Download SharpenClassic.zip Download this zip file to your desktop. Unzip it. Run the included Install_SharpenClassic batch file. After install, you should find the effect in the Effects > Photo menu under the name of "Sharpen Classic". By the way, there's no need to download from here as this plugin is now part of BoltBait's Plugin Pack. Source CodeLab script: Enjoy. 👍
  7. Those files go into the Effects folder. What does it say in the Plugin Errors tab of the Settings screen?
  8. After doing your initial bevel, do a second bevel specifying the base color and a radius of 1.
  9. Most of these plugins will not work when you go right up to the edge. Try making your canvas larger until after using the effect... then crop the image. The reason for this is that the effect uses the area around the selection in order to create the effect even though you never see that part.
  10. Well, that's a new one. You don't like my plugin because it is too good?! The installer will take care of everything, so long as you check the right boxes. Thank you, so much! Click the "Donate" button in the first post on this thread. Or, there's a "Donate" button inside the installer.
  11. Thanks. I'll look into it this weekend. The code is the same, just translated to run on the GPU... perhaps I made a typo during the translation.
  12. Show me the original image before running Object Feather on it. (If it is a .pdn file, zip it up before attaching it to your post.)
  13. I have added an "Anti-Alias outline" option to both Object > Outline object and Selection > Outline selection. Plugin pack in first post of this thread has been refreshed. Enjoy. 👍
  14. The lines that are drawn are anti-aliased. Are you asking for "aliased" lines? If so, I could add that. I just didn't know it would be useful.
  15. Sounds like a Defender problem. And, you answered your own question.
  16. Please give us a screenshot of the crash or the contents of the CrashLog.
  17. You need to put it into the following directory: C:\programfiles\paint.net\Effects
  18. This has been addressed. Please download and install the pack again! Enjoy! 👍
  19. That was a conscious choice on my part. I was never happy with the fact that the outline had a gradual drop-off. I always wanted Outline Object to render a solid shape that was anti-aliased (just like drawing a line with the line tool). So, I fixed it. I'm sorry if you were relying on the old, broken behavior. But, this really fits the name of the plugin best. I'm sure you'll find a workaround. Maybe you could follow up the Outline Object with a Feather Object with radius > 2.
